So pleased for this lovely guy this afternoon, an excellent test pass by Ramadan Nurudeen with only the one minor on his first attempt.

Our lessons were a bit stop-start at times, but we got super intensive over a few days lately and everything just clicked into place, as his result testifies. Ramadan felt a 35 minute test was a bit of a doddle, after I’d had him behind the wheel for three hours at a stretch!

So now Ramadan is on the hunt for his first car, and fingers crossed a nice little Toyota Aygo is on offer somewhere near by….

Many congratulations to you Ramadan, this was thoroughly deserved today and I shall miss our lessons together. All the best, and hope to see you on the road soon 👍

Less than two weeks to go now, before “FranFest26” kicks off at Sunday lunchtime on the Bank Holiday weekend, and fingers crossed they get blessed with nice (but not too sizzling!,) weather.

The event has raised many thousands of pounds, for a great cause that was dear to Fran, and it’s really a great day out for folk of all ages. Face painting, a footie match, the famous bouncy castle (I so enjoyed that, last year), and that company from Leominster who make gin and vodka from Herefordshire potatoes?

Last year, I especially enjoyed the huge portions of cheesy chips on offer, a pint of best, and a really good quality footie match between Westfields and Fran’s team.

I don’t think I ate anything else for at least 36 hours….😂

I’ve a lovely pupil right now who’s a huge fan of this series, she’s maybe rare but has very impressive taste for a 19 year old!

We say “lovely-jubbly!,” whenever anything goes better than according to plan….

Puts me in mind of this….😂😂

This was right from the top drawer, a super drive this morning by Harley Sockett who’s passed on his first attempt with a clean sheet of zero minors.

A rare achievement indeed, and with the very minimum number of lesson hours that I’d think necessary before going to test. Plenty of intensive private practice though, it always complements lessons and here’s how it’s paid dividends!

Many congratulations Harley, I’m sure you’re delighted and over that eclipsing moon this evening….enjoy your new independence and here’s to years of happy and safe driving 👍

Hats off this morning to Hunter Jones, a super first time pass with only the three minors.

An achievement to be proud of, and after about a third of the lesson hours that in my experience are typically needed by a complete beginner.

So many congratulations Hunter, it’s been great working with you and I hope you enjoy your new found independence, here’s to many years of happy and safe driving.

I’ve just finished a marathon 4 hour drive around the lovely M25, so about to tuck into those delicious chocs (thank you, was not expected!)

Always really enjoy motorway lessons, especially on a sunny day with a spot of al fresco brunch all washed down with a “matcha” (strange grassy green drink, quite tasty with banana syrup!).

Great to catch up with Maria, three weeks after her test, a really safe and impressive drive from her there and back. Maria’s soon off to Uni in Bath, studying fine art, so this trip will hopefully have given her a head start on the M4.

Hats off today to Josh Dennison who’s achieved a virtually faultless first time pass, a super drive with only the one minor. And doesn’t that happy smiley face tell all?

Josh and I did maybe 18 hours together, which isn’t a lot, so we had to get super-intensive together over the last week, with around 9 hours in 3-4 days. But, it all happily paid off (as did our pre-test sausage and eggs baps😂).

So delighted this morning for Amelia Gale, a lovely pass on her first attempt, job done all totally sorted!

Everyone has to deal with nerves on their test, I certainly remember how hugely rattled I was on my big day, but Amelia held it all together and delivered a drive to be very proud of, a great result.

And great timing too, she’s off to Worcester University in September so will be getting the miles and precious experience in very soon. Not to mention all those commutes to and from dance at the Courtyard.

Many congratulations Amelia, you absolutely nailed it today, it was totally deserved and hope you’re feeling proud this evening 👍

On Friday she was coping admirably with heavy motorway traffic to Birmingham and back, today I’m as delighted as Esme is after her super first time pass!

An excellent and confident test pass, which was entirely deserved.
Esme will be clocking up the miles right away, she’s lucky enough to have membership of a lovely health club out at Fownhope, and we did the motorway jaunt pre-test because she’s driving down to the Reading Festival in August.

Many congratulations Esme, you absolutely nailed it today and hope you’re feeling suitably proud, it’s been a pleasure from first to last. Hope you enjoyed the celebratory lunch, and here’s to many years of happy and safe driving👍
