💛 "You have given my girls a chance to thrive."
This comment from a parent recently stopped us in our tracks.
When these sisters first began tutoring, both were experiencing significant anxiety around learning. Their parents described frequent worries about getting things wrong, low confidence in their own abilities and tears when trying to complete school homework.
Over time, with patient, personalised support from their tutor, something wonderful began to happen.
Their confidence grew.
They became more willing to have a go.
The anxiety around learning reduced.
Most importantly, they began to enjoy learning again.
At Home-School Tutoring Bath, Bristol & Gloucestershire, we know that academic progress is important. But we also know that confidence, self-belief and emotional wellbeing are often the foundations on which that progress is built.
Seeing young people rediscover confidence in themselves and their abilities is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
Thank you to this lovely family for allowing us to share a small part of their story. 💛

🌟 Support That Understands Every Learner 🌟
Every child learns differently.
Some children thrive with a little extra support alongside their school education. Others benefit from a completely personalised learning programme delivered through home-based tutoring.
At Home-School Tutoring Bath, Bristol & Gloucestershire, we support both.
Whether your child attends school full-time and would benefit from supplementary 1:1 tuition, or is educated at home with tutoring as their main educational provision, we take the time to understand their individual needs before carefully matching them with the right tutor.
We know that academic progress is only part of the picture.
Confidence, motivation, wellbeing and feeling understood are often just as important.
That's why we take a personalised approach, recognising that every learner is unique and that the right tutor relationship can make a real difference.

Some testimonials stay with you long after you've received them.
This lovely feedback came from the parents of a student who recently gained the grades needed to secure her sixth form place.
A couple of years ago, this outcome felt very uncertain. Due to illness, B had missed a significant amount of education during Years 9 and 10, alongside facing the challenges that recovery brought to her wellbeing and confidence.
As B was unable to attend school, her education was delivered through a programme of 1:1 tutoring in her home environment. Over time, a team of dedicated tutors helped her rebuild confidence, fill knowledge gaps and work towards her GCSEs at a pace that met her individual needs.
Through determination, hard work and the support of those around her, B achieved seven GCSEs (including three Grade 7s and three Grade 6s) and secured her sixth form offer. We couldn't be more delighted for her and her family.
One part of her parents' message particularly resonated with us:
💛 *"B's successful navigation through this period has only been possible because of a jigsaw of support – a village of caring individuals each playing a different part. As a parent, I could not have wished for better people in her village."*
At Home-School Tutoring Bath, Bristol and Gloucestershire, we know that educational success is about so much more than grades. It is about relationships, trust, encouragement and ensuring that every young person has the support they need to thrive.
We are incredibly grateful to have been part of B's village and wish her every success for the future.

At Home-School Tutoring Bath, Bristol and Gloucestershire, we believe that learning is about so much more than worksheets, grades or exam results.
Children and young people need to feel emotionally safe, understood and genuinely listened to before learning can truly flourish.
When they are anxious, overwhelmed or lacking confidence, their brains are often focused on coping rather than learning. Feeling safe, supported and accepted helps children build trust, confidence and self-belief — all of which create the foundations for meaningful progress.
As both a teacher and a parent myself, I also understand personally how important it is for children to feel emotionally safe within their learning environment. This is something very close to my heart and one of the reasons our approach is always centred around understanding each individual child’s needs with care and compassion.
This is something we think about carefully in all of the support we provide.
Our ethos has always been one of listening closely, understanding individual circumstances and responding thoughtfully to every child and family’s unique needs. We know that no two learners are the same, and the right support begins with understanding the whole child.
If you feel your child would benefit from personalised educational support, we would be very happy to hear from you.

As many of our students head into another week of exams, we wanted to send a little encouragement their way. 💛
Cora’s daughter completed her Year 6 SATs last week and celebrated with a well-earned ice cream this weekend! We are so proud of how hard she worked, but most importantly, we focused on protecting her wellbeing throughout the process and reminding her that whatever her best was each day, was more than enough.
After sleeping until 10am on Saturday (completely unheard of!), it was a reminder of just how exhausting exam periods can be for our young people.
At Home-School Tutoring Bath, Bristol and Gloucestershire, we believe academic success should never come at the expense of emotional wellbeing. Rest, reassurance, encouragement and feeling safe matter too.
To all of our students continuing with exams this week:
Take a breath.
Be kind to yourself.
Do your best.
Then let that be enough.
You’ve got this. 🌟
