On May 1st we held a non-uniform day to raise money for the Acorns hospice in Worcester, where one of our community, Fin, was receiving help and respite during his illness. We wore our own clothes in memory of Fin, many also donated additional funds and wore a bucket hat or other headpiece in his honour.
Bishop’s was proud to hand over a charity donation of nearly £3000, all due to the generosity of the community supporting this event.
Fin was in Livingstone House and therefore Livingstone will be raising more money for Acorns next school year as well to help enable other children and their families to benefit from the support that Acorns can provide.

Congratulations to over 40 of our Year 10 students who took part in the expedition element of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Over the weekend of 16th/17th May, 42 Year 10 students walked from Bridstow School to Hereford, camping overnight at Ballingham.
Despite a forecast of many hours of rain, the weather held off brilliantly, with only five minutes of rain all weekend. The students did exceptionally well throughout the trip and were a credit to the school.
A huge thank you also goes to all the staff who volunteered their time to help make the weekend such a success.
Work Experience – Can you help?
Our Year 10 students will be undertaking work experience for 3 days from 13th July. This is a great opportunity for students to get an insight into the working world and gain practical knowledge and skills.
We are still looking for placements for some students. We are particularly interested in Engineering, IT & Technology, Design, Hospitality and Sport.
Our students would also be open to looking at other industries. The ideal placement would offer the chance to work in an environment where there are several members of staff.
If you or someone you know, may be willing to offer work experience to a student, then please email Lisa Williams - [email protected]. We will be able to provide you with more details and answer any queries you may have.
