Our talented Year 6 pupils delighted audiences with a fantastic performance of Panto Pandemonium this week!

From memorable characters to plenty of laughs, every pupil played their part brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. A huge thank you to Head of Music, Miss Toolan, and the wider team for all their hard work and dedication in preparing everyone for the show.

Bravo to you all! πŸŒŸπŸŽπŸ‘

This week was Year 6's 'Play in Class Week' - a chance for those pupils who play musical instruments to perform in front of their peers 🎻🎷🎺🎹

These informal class concerts happen once a term, and are a fantastic opportunity for pupils to share in the magic of music 🎢

On Tuesday, our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a special visit to Hereford Cathedral, where they took part in an interactive storytelling workshop for BBC Radio 4 in the historic Chained Library.

Led by acclaimed storyteller and author Amy Scott Robinson - whose books include Louisa Freya, Dragon Slayer and Queen Esther Nation Saver - the workshop formed part of material being recorded by the BBC for Sunday Worship.

It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to immerse themselves in storytelling in one of the Cathedral’s most unique and inspiring spaces.

🎧 The recording will be broadcast on Radio 4 on Sunday 5 July at 8.10am.

🎡 Right from the Early Years, our pupils are encouraged to take part in Music and to make their voices heard. Miss Toolan's fun 'scrunchie' song ensures that everyone has a chance to take part and have a go at singing.

Well done, Reception!

From exploring chemical reactions between acids and alkalis to creating their very own hard plastic from milk and vinegar, pupils have been putting science into action. Invisible ink messages made with citric acid were dramatically revealed using an iodine wash, while balloons were inflated by mixing bicarbonate of soda with white vinegar to create a gas reaction.

The children have loved this messy science fun! πŸ”¬βœ¨

Bravo to all the pupils who performed in last night's Speech and Drama R***e!

Children from Years 2-6 impressed the audience with a wonderful programme of poetry, prose, duologues and scenes from well-loved plays, including Matilda, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Witches. After weeks of preparation, they took to the stage with confidence, enthusiasm and great character.

A huge thank you to Speech and Drama teachers Mrs White and Miss Malone for all their hard work in preparing the children for such a fantastic evening.

Thursday afternoons mean one thing for our Pre-Prep pupils - swimming time! πŸ’¦

These much-loved weekly visits to Hereford Leisure Pool give the children the opportunity to build confidence in the water, develop their swimming skills and grow in independence along the way.

We are incredibly fortunate to be just a short walk away, and the journey through the park is always part of the adventure! 🌳

Year 1 and Year 2 are having a fantastic day exploring Raglan Castle!

The children have been discovering the impressive towers, learning about life in medieval times and visiting one of Wales’s most fascinating castles. From climbing the ancient steps to imagining life hundreds of years ago, there has been plenty to spark their curiosity!

πŸš— 𝗗𝗧 // Year 2 have this week been putting the finishing touches to their impressive car designs. Before half term, they were devising their designs; this week they have brought their ideas off the drawing board, using cardboard, glue guns, tools and paint. It's great to see their designs come to life!

Year 1 have been reading the classic story The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, by Jill Tomlinson. They have been writing about the book, using alliteration to describe their favourite characters' fluffy feathers and tiny talons!πŸ¦‰

Lovely handwriting, Year 1!
