The lovely Nora groomed by student Erin. Erin is coming towards the end of her City & Guilds 'Level 2 working towards Level 3' course and this is when we work on getting our students ready to work independently, with little or no input from the teacher! Erin has completed this groom to a distinction standard, working completely independently. Well done Erin 👏

Look what has popped up as a Memory on my photos! I can't believe it's been 5 years since our salon open day.

We've come a long way since then; I opened the Academy - I love teaching and watching dreams turn into reality for my students, and I work alongside a wonderful team of groomers; Abi (Ella Bella Bows Dog Grooming Services) who has been with me from the start, Andrea (Head to tail dog grooming - Hereford), Leeia (Tidy Tails ) and Hannah (Jasper’s Jazzy Paws).

And of course I'm so thankful for all of my wonderful loyal clients who have made my dreams a reality 😊

Teddy feet on Shih Tzus 🐾

I start by making sure the fur is completely knot free. Then with the foot flat on the table, I scissor a round shape and then I comb through again, and scissor to remove any hair that is touching the table, giving a floating effect. Finally, I blend the back of the foot up into the leg.

This style is also common for the Lhasa Apso, Cockapoo and Toy Poodle breeds.
