Bonny Dogs Grooming Academy

Ted the Shih-Tzu/Pomeranian cross joined us in the salon for his groom with tutor Paula and Level 2 (working towards Level 3) student Mel. Mel bathed Ted, and was assisted by Paula for the drying, brushing and styling process. Together they did a great job, working swiftly but precisely, and Ted looked amazing at the end of it!

Milo the Border Terrier came in for his handstrip with tutor Paula. Although learning how to handstrip isn't necessary for a Level 2 City & Guilds qualification, Paula gave student Hannah a quick overview. Milo was patient and calm throughout the process, and looked very smart after his groom.

Level 2 City & Guilds student Hannah and her labradoodle Jasper had a wonderful time in the salon. Hannah bathed, dried and prepped Jasper, trimming his nails and pads and clipping his coat, before tutor Paula showed Hannah how to style his head. She did a great job and Jasper seemed to have enjoyed himself too!

Learning to groom and practicing the process with your own dog is a great way to build confidence in your skills, as well as bringing the bond between you and your dog even closer.

We have 1 space left for our Groom Your Own Dog at Home day on Saturday 11th July. Expect an introduction to grooming equipment, learn to bath, dry, brush and comb, nail trim and basic clipping and sc******ng techniques, all while spending extra special time with your dog.
