Rabbits and Hedgehogs had a lovely afternoon celebrating some very special people in their lives! 💖

Today we celebrated Grandparents' Day, welcoming family members into our classroom to explore, play, meet our friends, and spend time with our teachers. It was wonderful to see so many smiles as everyone enjoyed sharing in our learning environment together.

We ended the afternoon with a beautiful song, making it a truly special occasion for all involved. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such lovely memories. 💖

🍂 Exploring Autumn with Conkers and the Early Years team! 🍂

We’ve been exploring the wonderful changes autumn brings and using one of our favourite autumn treasures – conkers!

The children worked together to build different structures and ramps to rolls their conkers downs. They tested, changed and adapted their designs each time, thinking carefully about how they could make them better. They used excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. We enjoyed taking this further by adding paint to ramps which helped create some lovely conker patterns and prints.

We’re delighted to invite prospective families to our open day at Wellington Primary School and Nursery. Come along to see our school in action, explore our classrooms and learning spaces, meet our staff and get a feel for what makes Wellington such a special place to learn and grow.

From our youngest children beginning their learning journey to our older pupils preparing for their next steps, we are proud of the strong community, opportunities and experience we provide for every child.

🌻Early Years Garden - Update🌻

Our Early Years Garden has been growing! While we’ve been enjoying the summer holidays, our Early Years garden has been busy growing away! We’ve been delighted to dig up some yummy potatoes and delicious tomatoes which Hils very much enjoyed eating! Our beautiful wildflowers bloomed and brought lots of colour and life to the garden. A huge thank you to Miss Sevenoaks, Clare and Mr Smith for keeping up with the watering over the summer break.

And our sunflowers are still growing tall, reaching for the sunshine and adding the perfect splash of summer to our garden. Despite the very hot summer, our little garden continued to thrive! We can’t wait to get the children back outside, exploring, harvesting, planting and continuing our growing journey together.

All of the (very wet) staff at Wellington Primary School would like to thank you for all of your support and engagement this year. It has been a year packed full of fun learning experiences and such positivity for us all, and it has been great to work with you all to help achieve this.

We hope that you all have a wonderful Summer, and we look forward to welcoming you back to school on Thursday 3rd September!

Today we say 'goodbye' and 'good luck' to our wonderful year 6 children! All the staff would like to thank them for the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm that they have shown during their time at Wellington Primary School; we are incredibly proud of them all.

We wish them all of the luck in their new schools, and know that they have so many happy memories! 💚
