Today at The Old School Henstead we celebrated World Mental Health Day.

A splash of yellow 💛 and raising awareness of how to look after our mental health. We approach this with our teeny Hensteadians to our Year 6 children. When you are small, everything is BIG!

With acres to play and explore in beautiful rural Suffolk and chickens to feed the restorative power of nature is never far away at Henstead!

Bonfire Night is back at Henstead!

Join us on Friday 6th November for an evening of fireworks, food and Bonfire Night fun!

Gates open at 5pm, with fireworks at 6pm... perfect for families with little ones!

There’ll be a BBQ, snacks and drinks, a bar, light-up toys and plenty more to enjoy before the fireworks start.

Tickets are £6 entry or £10 including food

We’re opening the doors to Reception at The Old School Henstead for a special Gruffalo-themed Open Day!

Join us for a morning of storytelling, crafts, messy play and activities inspired by the deep dark wood, including the chance to meet the Gruffalo himself!

It’s also a great chance for families to spend time in our Reception classroom, meet the team and find out more about what life in Reception at Henstead looks like.

Funded places are available for children joining Reception, so make the most of this opportunity to give your child a confident start to school with an independent education.

Due to popular demand, the Old School Henstead are delighted to announce the expansion of our Nursery provision as we welcome babies and under 2s into our Nursery for the first time.

Visit our Under 2 Open Morning on Friday 25th September 9:30 -10:45am to experience a sensory session and a tour of our Nursery.

A wonderfully nurturing nursery, set in acres of beautiful Suffolk countryside with an enriched curriculum for all.

We accept the FREE government funding... and curious children!

Places will be limited and our waiting list, like our wonderful children, is growing fast!

🧵✨ Creativity Stitched into Every Page! ✨🧵

Our Craft Club pupils have been busy creating these wonderful handmade felt books – and what a fantastic job they've done! From designing and cutting the felt to stitching, decorating and adding interactive pages, each book is completely unique and reflects its creator's imagination and creativity.

It's been lovely to watch the pupils develop new sewing and craft skills while taking such pride in producing something they can treasure for years to come. We think you'll agree that the finished books are absolutely brilliant! 👏📚
