The Parent, Teacher and Friends association at Hennock are here to unite the school and wider community. Working together, parents, friends and teachers alike are active with various fundraising and other supportive roles that enrich our children’s learning. Fun and exciting events organised by the school such as our wonderful Christmas performance, Easter fun day, other open days and garden tidy
up are helped and supported by the PTFA. We endeavour to be on hand to help with many aspects of organising these events, providing refreshments, props and other resources. These events are important not only for fundraising but connecting the wider community with the school, in turn enhancing our children’s learning further. We help fund many extras such as the minibus running costs, books, leavers gifts, subsidise trips and swimming all of which contribute greatly to our children’s school experience. The Rag Bag collection, Christmas raffle, refreshments and our Barn Dance have been great fundraising opportunities and show how successful the PTFA can be. COVID has had a big effect on how we fundraise over the last year and we have had to think a little outside the box! A recent silent auction and the selling of beautiful wreaths at Christmas meant we were able to grant some of the wishes on the schools wish list. Granting all the school’s wishes for the children would be the ultimate goal so if you have any ideas or want to get involved please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
