Since opening in 2018, we’ve been dedicated to creating nurturing, curiosity-filled environments where children learn, grow and thrive through natural, free play. We are a 35-place, intimate nursery, offering a truly bespoke experience for every child, ensuring each little one is seen, valued and supported as an individual. We’re delighted to have achieved a consistent Strong Standard across all 7
areas under the new Ofsted inspection framework (Nov 2025), and we are incredibly proud to be showcased across Central Bedfordshire as models of exemplary practice.

💷 Funding & Parental Contributions
All bookings at SPLAT require an additional parental contribution. This enables us to provide everything that makes our setting so special and goes far above the basic government-funded provision, including extended forest school access, high-quality materials, enhanced staffing, enrichment experiences, and our unique approach to care and play. We do offer a small number of standalone funded-only places, granted at the Manager’s discretion, to ensure fairness and accessibility within our community.

We offer one of the longest extended days in the area, open 6:50am – 7:10pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, perfectly designed to support commuting families and align with local train schedules.
👶 For Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years, supporting each individual to explore, discover and grow at their own pace in a nurturing, empowering environment.
