✨Are you ready for a change?

Due to continual expansion I am looking for an enthusiastic parent to deliver Sing and Sign courses in various locations across Maidenhead and Henley.

Our courses take place within nursery/school hours and you get to choose how many hours you work!

The right candidate will be confident leading a group, love singing and babies and have a real passion for baby signing.

Experience of attending at least one term of Sing and Sign is a must.

There’s no need to be a trained singer. All you need is to be able to confidently sing nursery rhymes in tune.

Training and ongoing mentoring is provided.

Please get in touch with me either [email protected] or drop me a DM if you have any questions or would like to find out more!

🔁 Why Repetition is Key for Baby’s Confidence & Communication 🔁

Babies thrive on repetition. It’s how they learn, make sense of the world, and build the confidence to explore it 🧠💬

There are two powerful ways to use repetition:

👶 1. Repeat what your baby says or does
Repeating their sounds or gestures encourages “baby conversation” and helps your little one feel heard and valued 💞

🎶 2. Repeat routines, songs, games – and even classes!
Repetition creates predictability. Familiar songs, signs, and settings help babies feel safe — and when they feel safe, they’re more open to learning.

✨ It’s not just about learning signs once — it’s about layering that learning week by week. When you repeat a course, your baby isn’t bored — they’re building confidence in a familiar environment. They’ll start to anticipate the songs, respond more readily to signs, and begin to express themselves more and more.

👂 Hearing key words again and again, in context, is how babies build understanding. Add a sign to that word, and you give them a visual clue to lock in the meaning 🔑

In our Sing and Sign classes, we keep language simple and meaningful. We repeat important signs, songs, and routines — because this is exactly what helps little ones blossom.

✨ Many families repeat Stage 1 and Stage 2 courses more than once — and see huge progress and confidence with each round.

So if you’ve loved your Sing and Sign experience so far, come back again — your baby will love returning to something they remember and enjoy ❤️

Top Tip Tuesday…… Babies learn about communication by exploring how other people respond to their sounds and body language and they’re motivated by any positive reactions. 🥰

💙 Your baby has likely been understanding your signing for a while now but their first attempts at signs may not look like the ones you use! For example, a baby may sign *more* by tapping one hand on the back of the other and some may even just clap to start with! 👏🏻

💛 Accuracy of hand-shape is not what’s important here - it’s the attempts to communicate that we want to celebrate and encourage! 🎉 If you think baby has used a sign in context, praise them by repeating the word and modelling the sign correctly 🫶🏻 Be consistent with the signs you use and baby’s hand-shape accuracy will come (just like with speech later on!)

💙 Don’t worry if baby is using one sign for more than one word… they now understand that they can get their message across with a sign… next step will be to refine their attempts and expand their messages 🥰

Remember to:
🌟PRAISE any attempts at signing
🌟accept any version of the sign
🌟consistently show them your version of the sign, so they can refine theirs..and share the joy you’ll both feel when they’ve communicated something new with you 💕 👏🥳

After having first hand experience of teaching my own daughter how to communicate through sign before speech perfected itself.

And having taught hundreds of other mums and nurseries, bridging the gap of communication. I would love to help teach you how to give your baby a voice through sign before their speech develops.

Find out what's on their mind. What they're thinking and what they have to say. It will be the best decision you've ever made as a parent and you and not only will you THANK yourself for it (and for the reduction of tantrums because they can get their thoughts and feelings across easily and be understood!) but your baby will thank you for it too.

We learn effortlessly in a fun musical environment, classes are in person and online.

Ever heard of keyword signing?

It’s a game-changer for parents seeking early communication with their babies! 🗣️

Keyword signing involves using simple hand signs to represent essential words like “milk,” “more,
,” or “sleep.” 😴

Even before your little one can vocalize these words, they can communicate their needs and desires through gestures.

By signing keywords, you create a visual cue that reinforces the spoken word. This can be incredibly helpful for babies, as they often understand more than they can express.

It also promotes word recognition, as the repetitive use of signs helps babies connect the dots between what they see and what they hear. 👂

This approach helps babies link words with actions, objects, or concepts, paving the way for early language development.

And once your baby’s motor skills are developed enough, they can start copying the signs you have shown them, helping you understand their needs and thoughts.

It’s like giving your baby a voice before they find their words, reducing frustration for both of you.

It can also boost your baby’s confidence, as they start to realize they can “talk” to you through signs.

Plus, it’s a great bonding activity-when you sign keywords, you’re naturally spending more focused time with your baby, creating meaningful interactions
If you’re interested in learning more about keyword signing and how it can benefit your baby,

Sing and Sign offers fun, music-filled classes that guide you through the process fo. We have face to face classes in Maidenhead, Henley, Caversham and online ♥️
