This week we have welcomed lots of new children into Highmoor Nursery School life 🏫. We wish all of our old Red Kite children well in big school and look forward to receiving a first day at school photo 📷. Here are a few things we have had going on this week

During the final week of holiday club we had a lovely visit from Smelly Wellies and 2 tractors which the children thoroughly enjoyed. We are now closed for the month of August and look forward to seeing you all in September. Have a lovely Summer ☀️

We’re into our final week of the Summer holiday club. We have another busy week with a visit from Smelly Wellies and Tractors yesterday, Forest School today, Mrs Bun cooking tomorrow and Yoga on Thursday. Lots to get involved with ☀️

It’s been a wonderfully busy term and we hope you all have enjoyed the snapshot of work featured in the bags, which went home at the end of term. We hope you have a great Summer break and we look forward to seeing those of you that will be coming back in September. We wish all those going to school the very best of luck and don’t forget to send a first day photo in your uniform, for our Leaver’s Board! 🏫

The children had a lovely first week at holiday club. We had Jack from GET Active, BE Confident and LOVE all things Physical Activity , Forest School with Bramblers Forest School, Cooking with Mrs Bun the Baker Making cooking with kids joyful, not stressful and Dance with kad_studios. A jam packed week having lots of fun 🤩

We’re into our final week of Nursery before our Summer Holiday Club ☀️. This week in the role play area we have the Highmoor School 🏫. The children can model the school uniform🥋, look at books about starting school and get busy with phonics in the classroom! In the sand tray we have a Happyland sandy park set up and in the water tray we have an under the water theme 🌊 🐠

This week the children were back in the garden picking herbs 🌿 for their couscous. The children worked on their pincer grip to pluck the chives 🪴

Another hot week this week ☀️. In the role play area we have a Souvenir Shop 🏬 🕶️, the babies are ready in their swim gear cooling down in the water tray 👶🏼 ☀️ and the Happyland people are catching rays at the beach in the sand tray🏖️

What a brilliant Sports Day! 🏆 Despite having to reschedule due to the heatwave, last Thursday morning was a massive success. The children showed amazing determination and resilience. It was wonderful to have so many parents and carers there to celebrate with us! 🥇

This week the theme has been Summer ☀️. We have had an Ice Cream shop in the role play corner, pink lemonade station in the water tray, oobleck ice creams on the tuff spot on Monday and playdough ice creams and sprinkles on the playdough table🍦
