Week 6 of Summer Holiday’s- 🎥 Hollywood Week ⭐️

Preschool have been busy being Directors and Movie Stars this week:

Monday- They decorated camera’s and made their own stories up with the puppets.
Tuesday- It was American Day, we had pancakes with bacon, honey and strawberries for morning snack, burger and chips for lunch and apple pie for pudding, for afternoon snack we had grilled cheese toasties. The children played in the American Diner themed Role Play.
Wednesday- They made their own microphones using the paint sticks and we have watched SING with popcorn.
Thursday- We had our Little Nutkins Oscar Black Tie Event. They decorated their own trophies.
Friday- We had a trip to Stratford to go to the cinema and boat trip, for the end the last day of summer holidays and for the last few leavers before they start their new chapter at school!

Throughout the week they have also all made their own Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars, played in the American Diner themed Role Play as well as the picture opportunities and being Directors.

Thankyou so much girls for all your help, hard work and dedication to Little Nutkins. Children and Staff will miss you both so much! Good Luck to Hannah for starting a new career change going to Uni and Good Luck to Amelia for going to become a teacher!

Week 5 of Summer Holidays- 📚 Fairytale Week 🧚

Preschool have been very busy focusing on a story each day:
Cinderella 👠
They listened to the story, decorated their own glass slippers and made wands.
Aladdin 🪔
Preschool made their own magic carpets and Aladdin’s cuffs.
Peter Pan 🧚
Preschool dressed up in a fairytale theme to have our Neverland Tea Party, we had butterfly sandwiches, flower pizza, wand fruit kebabs, heart cucumber and carrots and fairy cupcakes. They made Captain Hooks hook and decorated fairy doors.
Princess and The Pea 🫛
They made their own crowns and explored the princess and the pea themed tuff tray.

Throughout the week they have also played in the fairy garden and potition mud kitchen outside, fairy and castle tuff trays and listened to lots of stories and a trip to the Library. We have also had the dressing up outfits out in the role play area where they have been having tea parties too.

Fairytale Week in Toddlers and Babies 🧚‍♀️

In Toddler Room we have had lots of fun listening to the stories of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and Jack and the Beanstalk, decorating teddy bears, feeding the 3 Bears porridge in the tuff tray and using different green materials to build a ‘beanstalk’.

In Baby Room they have focused on Room on the Broom and Jack and The Beanstalk. They have done lots of exploring in tuff trays with different mark making tools.

Week 4 of Summer Holiday’s- 🗺️ Around the World Week 🌎

Italy 🇮🇹 We had Pizza for Lunch, Thankyou to Artisan Pizzeria by Paul, decorated Vespa’s and had Sharron come in to teach us some Italian words along with tuff trays.
Germany 🇩🇪 Thankyou to Jasmin Bush for coming in to teach the children about Germany. We made flags and recreated our own version of the Fasching Festival by going on our scooters and throwing sweets. They also had Chicken schnitzel, mash and vegetables for lunch with Apple strudel with custard for pudding. Afternoon snack was frankfurters and Frikadellen.
Greece 🇬🇷 Thankyou to Lithos Restaurant for hosting our Greek lunch, they had Chicken Souvlaki and chips along with pitta and tzatziki for afternoon snack. They also decorated their own Greek plate.
Japan 🇯🇵 The children explored a cherry blossom tuff tray, decorated Japanese Fans and tried teriyaki chicken, noddles and pak choi with vegetable gyozas and little moons for pudding.

Babies and toddlers all around the world week :
To learn about 🇮🇹 Italian culture children created play-dough pizzas and had pizza for lunch.
To learn about 🇩🇪 German culture they explored a sensory flag and practiced their scooping skills. Older children also created their own German flags through sticking activity.
To Learn about 🇬🇷 Greek culture children have decorated their own Greek plate and explored a sensory blue and white flag tray.
