With more heat on the way we will be spending most of our time in the shade! Good job we have our very own dedicated shade tunnel for all the plants that also can't handle the heat! The shade never looked so good and we have a wide choice of plants to help make your shady areas at home look amazing.

I am often surprised that people expect to see me on the nursery all of the time but having thought about it, I shouldn't be. I don't speak much about the projects that we undertake in other places. When I started Garden Sage 10 years ago it was necessary for me to work on garden projects to supplement the business. This has never stopped and our small but perfectly formed team of soft landscapers/garden maintenance folk are out most days looking after gardens or creating new ones. We don't do hard landscape as that is a very different thing but we plant ans sculpt soil where needed and in this instance we try to stop soil erosion where the Thames gets over zealous.So if you ever wonder where I am, it's likely I'm doing my best to create a beautiful space with talented people and fantastic clients. If you have a space that maybe needs more than the standard approach we can often find someone that can help or we can work with you to achieve the space you want. Please give your project time. A rushed garden seldomly achieves the results a garden planted with time and care does. In case you are wondering 120 tonnes so far.......

Everything is blooming here at Garden Sage after the hot weather and finally some rain!

We have picked some of our favourites for your sunniest spaces in the garden. Bright pink flowers on the Leptospermum and Alstromeria 🌸 Silvery leaved plants always handle strong sunshine and winds well and with the Teucrium you also get a beautiful flower that the bees love 🐝 Salvias are all starting to bloom now and will continue into the autumn 🍂 and who could resist the fiery tropical flowers of the Kniphofia.

Sunnier days and warmer weather means we are already planning what's next in the garden and some plants are growing before our eyes! What will flower next? What is still just peeking it's head out of the soil?

As the Daffodils are coming to an end it's time to start making plans for your bedding displays! We have a great selection of plants with buds and flowers that will keep going until autumn.

Also in the tunnel, some new vegetables 🍅🫜🫑 all grown by .veg !
