A gentle reminder to all parents and carers

Please can we all be mindful and respectful of the local residents around the school area, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times.

We understand that these times can be busy, but please avoid blocking driveways, parking inconsiderately, or causing unnecessary disruption to those who live nearby.

Please also remember to observe the speed limit around the school, especially during these busy times of the day when there are lots of children and families crossing the road. Slowing down and taking extra care can make a real difference to everyone’s safety.

We are very fortunate to be part of a local community, and a little consideration can make a big difference. Thank you for helping us maintain positive relationships with our neighbours and, most importantly, keeping our children and community safe. ❤️

🌟We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!🌟

The summer holidays are nearly over, and we’re getting everything ready to welcome our wonderful children back to St Peter’s School! 💚

We know that the first day back can bring a few butterflies — especially for children starting a new class, meeting a new teacher or simply getting back into the school routine. Please remember that it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous, and you certainly won’t be alone. 🦋💛

Our friendly staff will be at the gates, ready with smiles, reassurance and lots of support to help everyone settle back into school life.

So take a deep breath, bring your biggest smile and get ready for another happy, exciting year together! 🌈⭐

Henfield Parish Council are delighted to announce the return of the Scoot Jam to Henfield Skate Park on Sat 29 Aug.

Grab your scooter and join us for scooter competitions, fun games and challenges and pro trick displays from scooter pro Terry Price.

We’re looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Meal Supervisor to join our friendly team at St Peter’s CE Primary School.

🕚 Hours: 11:20am – 1:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
📍 Start: September 2026.

If you enjoy working with children and want to make a positive difference during the school day, we’d love to hear from you. The role includes supporting children during lunchtime, encouraging positive behaviour and healthy eating, and helping prepare and tidy the dining hall.

Today was an emotional day as we said goodbye to all the children who are leaving St Peter’s School to begin their next adventures, including our Year 6 pupils who are moving on to secondary school.

The children loved our annual Guard of Honour, where the rest of the school came together to cheer them on. They also enjoyed the traditional shirt-signing and one final playtime together on the playground, creating special memories to take with them.

We would like to wish all the children leaving St Peter’s School today the very best of luck for the future. Whether you’re starting secondary school or beginning a new chapter elsewhere, we are so proud of everything you have achieved and know you will go on to do amazing things.

Good luck—we’ll miss you all!

Diversity in Art Week

The children have had a wonderful time celebrating both art and diversity during our Diversity in Art Week.

Each year group explored the work of an artist from a different minority group, learning about their unique style, experiences, and creative contributions. Inspired by their chosen artist, the children produced some fantastic pieces of artwork that reflected both their learning and creativity.

Today, we proudly displayed the children’s artwork in the hall as part of our after-school Celebration of Work. It was a wonderful opportunity to share and celebrate their achievements.

Thank you to everyone who came along to view the exhibition and support the children’s hard work.
