Watercolour classes in East Anglia

For the previous few workshops in March and April, we have been working on this painting which illustrates the use of the rule of 3rds in composition.
We also used a variety of brush marks, from wet in wet, to wet on dry, and dry brushstroke, we also did some lifting out, and used colour and tone to draw the eye to the farmhouse and church tower.

I had a lovely time painting with my portrait chums in an idyllic garden in Strumpshaw today in beautiful weather, and also at the Munnings museum last week in Dedham with the Norwich and Norfolk art circle.
