Congratulations to the Abbot’s Hill Class of 2026, who have worked incredibly hard over the last couple of years and who today are celebrating their impressive GCSE achievements. More than a third of students achieved the top tier Grade 9 in at least one of their subjects and a solid 41% of grades achieved were Grade 9-7 - around double the national average.
Head, Sharon Schanschieff said “We are super proud of the progress our students have made, particularly those who have outperformed their baseline assessments. It demonstrates the importance of having a clear focus, unwavering resilience and a strong work ethic. Thanks to our dedicated teachers for the ongoing commitment and support they have shown our students. Today is a special moment in our students’ educational journey and we are excited about what their next chapter holds”
Students are moving on to a wide variety of Sixth Forms and colleges, undertaking a broad range of A levels and other qualifications with the most popular subjects being Psychology, Biology, History and English Literature.
We wish you all nothing but happiness and success and look forward to welcoming you back to school as proud Abbot’s Hill alumnae !

Join us for Midsummer at Abbot’s Hill, a magical and memorable afternoon for children entering Reception to Year 3 and their parents.

Inspired by the enchanting world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this special event offers families the opportunity to experience the creativity, confidence and curiosity that define life in our Prep School.

Led by our specialist teachers, children and their parents will enjoy a range of hands-on activities, from creating magical fairy jars and exploring drama and performance to bringing Shakespeare’s captivating characters and stories to life through art and poetry. Along the way, they’ll make new friends, discover new interests and experience the excitement of learning at Abbot’s Hill.

While children immerse themselves in the activities, parents will have the opportunity to meet key members of our Prep School team, learn more about our nurturing approach and explore the opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom.
Whether your child loves to imagine, create, perform or explore, Midsummer at Abbot’s Hill is the perfect introduction to our vibrant Prep School community.

HillFest is almost here!

Join us for an afternoon of live music, entertainment, games and delicious food. Enjoy performances from The Looters, our Prep Brass Group and Senior School singers, dance along with our DJ, take on the challenge of Beat the Teacher, and try your hand at tennis.

There'll also be plenty of treats to enjoy, including candy floss, crêpes, tacos and ice cream, plus a raffle and bouncy castle for all the family.

Our Year 7 students had an incredible day exploring, the historic home of Britain’s WWII codebreakers. 

From discovering the story of and the Enigma machine, to exploring the D-Day exhibition and learning about the future of AI, students were curious, engaged and enthusiastic throughout the day.

Abbot’s Hill’s Dance Showcase was a fantastic celebration of creativity, passion and talent from every performer involved.
 
The evening was filled with energy and excitement as students took to the stage to perform a variety of dance styles and themes, showcasing confidence, skill and incredible hard work. From powerful GCSE examination pieces to vibrant club routines and engaging class performances, every dance told its own story and captivated the audience.
 
A huge well done to all of our performers for making the evening such a tremendous success and a wonderful celebration of dance!

We are incredibly proud that our DofE Coordinator, Miss Knatchbull, was invited to attend the 70th Anniversary Gold DofE celebration at Buckingham Palace.

The day included exploring the beautiful palace gardens, inspiring speeches from,,,, Drew Walker and Tabitha Stoecker, as well as a speech from the youth ambassador Evie.

Miss Knatchbull particularly enjoyed Jake Humphrey’s inspiring speech about courage and learning through failure, and was also lucky enough to meet the Duke of Edinburgh as he walked through the gardens, as well as getting a photo with Larry Lamb!

A truly memorable day celebrating 70 years of the DofE and recognising the achievements of young people and the dedication of school leaders across the country.

Thanks to the dedication, passion, and care shown by every member of staff each and every day, our nursery has been recognised as one of the Top 20 Nurseries in the UK.
