This week, we held the final of our very first Annual Speech Cup competition.

After all children took part in the earlier rounds, we were delighted to celebrate our nine finalists, who showcased fantastic confidence and speaking skills as they delivered speeches on a wide range of topics. From friendship and the human brain to the Marvel Universe, each speech was engaging, informative, and thoughtfully presented.

We are incredibly proud of all the children who participated in the competition, and especially our finalists, who demonstrated great courage, preparation, and enthusiasm in reaching the final.

A huge congratulations to our overall winner, Rylee, whose outstanding speech impressed the judges.

Well done to all nine finalists for making our first Speech Cup Final such a memorable event. We look forward to seeing this competition continue to grow in the years ahead!

Class Comet had a great time on Wednesday taking part in a drama workshop led by staff from Abbot’s Hill School.

Using Little Red Riding Hood as inspiration, the children explored a range of creative techniques, including working with a green screen and creating their own Foley sound effects. They threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm, imagination and confidence.

The children were a real credit to the school, demonstrating excellent teamwork, creativity and behaviour throughout the session.

LEGOLAND DT Enrichment Day

What an incredible day of creativity, teamwork and imagination! Following yesterday’s exciting trip to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, the children became LEGO designers for the day, working in house teams to create a brand-new themed area for the park!

We saw some AMAZING ideas come to life, including:
A wild Jungle adventure
An exciting Underwater world
And our winning design… a spectacular Volcano-themed land!

The children used everything they had explored at LEGOLAND to inspire their own rides, attractions and themed experiences. They showed fantastic collaboration, problem-solving and presentation skills throughout the challenge.

A huge congratulations to Team Ruby for their winning pitch!
Every single child should feel very proud of the creativity, effort and enthusiasm they brought to the day.
