I am looking for some new tutors to join my expanding team in delivering high quality tutoring sessions via zoom.

All tutors must be fully qualified teachers and must have QTS. I am looking for tutors across all key stages and newly qualified teachers are also welcome.

All communication with families is carried out by me and I will be there to guide you in lesson planning and knowing how to drive forward progression.

There is no registration fee. If you are keen to get started, send me a message and I can answer any questions you may have.

Dear families,

I am so pleased to share that ‘Katie Smale Tutoring’ is now offering online tutoring sessions, via Zoom.

These sessions can be tailored to suit the specific needs of your child and can focus on one learning area or can include multiple activities. We have many package options available so please contact us if you are keen to set up some provision.

We only recruit fully qualified teachers and all of our tutors have a lot of experience of delivering the curriculum and differentiating lessons to help children make accelerated progress.

Whatever your learning need, we are confident that we can assist.

Play based learning should form the basis of any learning experience. Through engaging in 'hands on' and exploratory learning, children are able to rehearse, refine and challenge their existing thinking. Our tutors often drop in games as a means of enabling children to apply their newly learnt skills. They may think they are playing a simple card game when, in fact, they are building their fluency of adding/subtracting numbers. Learning is most fun when you don't even realise it is happening 🙌🏻

The word 'play', in our opinion, should be synonymous with 'learning', as it is through this where children explore, test the boundaries of their understanding and consolidate their knowledge through a comfortable context.
Our sessions incorporate play through the way we include activities that involve 'hands on' learning with resources.
We don't bombard children with the monotonous task of filling out worksheets that limit their thinking space.
We pride ourselves in providing a service that will leave your children blissfully unaware of the fact that they have mastered a new skill.
