If you would like to join our team, working in a fun filled environment within a unique rural location then we would like to hear from you!
Requirements:
•Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
•Punctual and reliable team player who uses their own initiative
•knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and experience of planning and observations
•To contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery
Benefits:
•Level 3 £26,910, (£11.50 per hr) 45 hours per week
•28 days holiday

Lambing Events Cancelled

It is with regret that we must inform you that our popular spring lambing event has been cancelled.

Unfortunately, two of our sheep have been found to be infected with toxoplasmosis, a parasitic disease that can be transmitted to humans. This is the first time this has happened here at the Box Moor Trust and our staff are following Government guidelines and are taking all necessary measures to address the situation and prevent the spread of the disease and will be keeping a close eye on the whole flock. Once lambing has been completed the risk to human health is minimal.

Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease that can affect most mammals and birds and is found throughout the world. Cats are the main carrier of infection and the primary routes of infection to livestock are via ingestion of water, food or soil contaminated with faeces from infected cats.

Due to the close contact between the public and livestock at the lambing weekend there’s a very small risk of toxoplasmosis infection passing from sheep to humans and because of this we have made the decision to cancel this year’s lambing weekend and the quiet morning visits to the farm.

We would like to thank everyone who was planning to attend our public lambing event for their support and understanding during this difficult time. We hope to hold the event next year, once the situation has been fully resolved and our flock gets the all-clear.

Although childcare qualifications are not necessary, experience in working with children is preferred.
