With the summer holiday fast approaching we wanted to make sure you knew about HAND.

Hertfordshire's HAND card supports families with children who have additional needs by offering discounts as well as other benefits that help to reduce the barriers that otherwise may stop us accessing our community facilities and attractions.

Some places may offer fast track entry as many of our children and young people struggle with queuing, others will have reduced entry rates or free carer tickets which makes a day out that might get cut short a little bit more bearable.

And it's not just exclusively accepted in Hertfordshire - many of our families have successfully used the HAND card at some venues all over the country to enable them to book at disabled/carer rates. It's always worth asking. Link to find out more is below.

✨NB Hertfordshire's HAND is just one of 100s of things you can learn on SPACE's flagship free Navigating the SEND World online workshop. Our next one runs on Thursday 7th July at 10am. Booking link in comments.
