Boxmoor Pre-school Welcome to the Boxmoor Pre-school page.

At Boxmoor Pre-school we provide a safe and fun enviroment for the promotion of the education of Pre-school children from 2 to rising 5 years old and early starter places for children from 2 years old. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping all children to achieve their full potential by learning through their play and carefully planned activities.

Santa is coming to Boxmoor Preschool! Join us on Sunday 29th November for Breakfast with Santa ! 🎅

With pancakes, juice and treats, Christmas fun and Santa there for photo opportunities & even handing out Christmas Presents! It’s NOT TO BE MISSED! 🎁

A booking form will be landing in your inboxes so keep an eye out, we’d love to see as many of you as possible! ✨

🎃 Pumpkin Exploring! 🎃

Our little explorers have been getting hands-on with pumpkins! 🧡 We loved scooping out the pulp, discovering the seeds and exploring the different textures inside.

The children then got creative by making funny faces on their pumpkins before using hammers and golf tees to tap and explore, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration along the way.

SAVE THE DATE

The next committee meeting is just round the corner and we really need more parents to join! The committee is an extremely important part of the preschool, as without one then they wouldn't be allowed to remain open.

If anyone can spare half an hour for the evening then we'd really appreciate it. You can have as much or as little involvement as you like but we'd love to see you there!

🚀 🌍 Our Space Week adventures have been out of this world! And our little astronauts have been getting stuck into even more exciting activities!

🍫🚀 We’ve been making our very own cornflake space cakes — a yummy, fun activity being creative and of course a little treat to take home! 😋

🪐✨ Our shaving foam and paint tuff tray has been transformed into a space-inspired sensory experience, with the children exploring textures, colours and using their imaginations to create their own cosmic worlds.

We’re just beginning our Space Week and there’s already so much exciting exploring happening! 👩‍🚀🪐✨

Our little astronauts are learning all about planets, stars, rockets and everything beyond our world. 🌎🚀

✨ So far, we’re:
🚀 Making and designing our very own rockets
🌟 Exploring space-themed playdough
🪐 Investigating our foam tuff tray and searching for hidden space objects, from stars and planets to rockets!
🔢 Enjoying fun space-themed counting activities
👩‍🚀 Learning, exploring and using our imaginations through play

And this is only the beginning! 🚀✨ We have lots more exciting Space Week activities planned, so keep watching to see what our little astronauts get up to next! 🌙🪐👩‍🚀

We’re so excited to have our new wall mural in place, complete with a chalkboard for the children to get creative! 🖍️🌈

The children can enjoy drawing, mark-making and letting their imaginations run wild, while adding their own little touches to our new space. 💕✨

We’ve been continuing our autumn-themed activities and having lots of fun exploring the changes in our environment. 🍁

The children enjoyed using playdough with conkers, pine cones and cutters, creating their own autumn-inspired creations while developing their fine motor skills and creativity. 🌰🍂

We also headed outside on an autumn hunt! 🔎🍁 Armed with their checklists, pencils and magnifying glasses, the children searched their environment for different autumn treasures and discoveries. They loved looking closely at the natural world around them and ticking off what they found.

🍂 Seasons & Autumn: We’ve been learning all about the seasons, focusing on autumn and making lots of lovely autumn crafts. 🍁🍃
🔵 Shapes: We’ve been learning about different shapes and getting creative by painting our very own shapes! 🎨

What a busy first whole week back! 🏫

It has been such a lovely week welcoming back our returning children and their families, as well as getting to know some of our new children and their families. 💕 We’ve loved seeing everyone settle in, explore their new surroundings and start making new friends.

We’ve been busy exploring colours this week! 🎨 The children have enjoyed painting and mixing colours using their hands, creating their very own splat monsters, exploring in the sand and practising counting and colour recognition with our colourful counting bears. 🐻

A lovely week full of fun, creativity, exploring and lots of messy hands!🖐️🎨
