✨ Time to introduce myself…

Hi everyone, I’m Katharine 👋 I’m currently a Head of Mathematics at a secondary school in Hertfordshire, where I lead teaching and learning across the department and specialise in supporting students to build confidence and achieve success in GCSE Maths, particularly those working towards a Grade 4/5. Alongside my role in school, I’m also studying for a Doctorate in Education (EdD), with my research focusing on how we can better support students to rebuild confidence and develop a positive identity in mathematics after experiencing difficulty. I’m really passionate about making maths feel more accessible and helping students realise they are capable of success.

I’ll be launching some new GCSE Maths courses in May 2026, designed to support students as they prepare for Year 11 and beyond, so keep your eyes peeled for more details coming soon 👀

Hi Everyone. My name is Katharine and I am a Qualified Mathematics Teacher working in Hemel Hempstead. I have been tutoring online for 5 years and have 2 term time only slots available for KS3/4 students from September. Very very pleased with the results I have received from the year 11s I have tutored this year! 100% pass rate for all my pupils and even one achieving a grade 9! Very proud of you all ❤

GCSEs are here! If your son or daughter is struggling with a particular topic then I can help. I have lessons available during half term and up to the final Maths examination on June 12th.

Until the end of the Summer term I am also offering lessons to pupils moving on to secondary school or starting their GCSE years to give them confidence in their abilities when September arrives.

Hi there, my name is Katharine and I am currently studying for a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Hertfordshire. Two days a week, I work at a local Hemel Hempstead Secondary School as a Maths Tutor and I also offer private one-to-one tuition for pupils from Year 7 through to Year 11.

I am passionate about Maths and believe every pupil can succeed with the right encouragement and guidance. I enjoy helping young people to achieve or surpass their target grades and to see their confidence grow.
