This week in Bluebells, the babies enjoyed exploring a Guess How Much I Love You themed tuff tray. They had lots of fun scooping and pouring the green coloured rice into baskets, helping to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration.
We followed this with a creative printing activity using dabbers, where the babies enjoyed making colourful marks and exploring different patterns. They also did incredibly well sitting and listening to the Guess How Much I Love You story, showing growing attention and engagement.
Throughout the week, the babies explored a variety of textured floor mats using both their hands and feet. They loved feeling the different textures, supporting their sensory development while encouraging curiosity and exploration.
This week, Buttercups have been focusing on developing their gross motor skills through a range of fun, engaging activities designed to encourage movement, imagination, and creativity.
One of the children’s favourite activities was our Hungry Caterpillar tuff tray. The children enjoyed using a variety of tools to scoop, collect, and feed the hungry caterpillar, helping to strengthen their gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination. They also practised taking turns, shaking, scooping, and filling, while developing their social skills through cooperative play. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, confidence, and enjoyment throughout the activity.
This week, Blossoms had a fantastic time taking part in our Born to Boogie session, where the children enjoyed dancing, moving to music and expressing themselves through movement. We also had lots of fun exploring our World Cup themed tuff tray, using pom-poms to flick and score goals across the football pitch, helping to develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Midweek, we celebrated our Graduation Party, where the children came together to mark this special milestone. They thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with their friends, dancing, playing games and sharing a delicious party lunch. It was a wonderful way to recognise their achievements and create lasting memories before their next adventure.
