🧸 Only two weeks to go!

Our Pre Prep Teddy Bears' Picnic is almost here, and we're looking forward to welcoming the boys joining Reception in September 2027 and their families to Lockers Park.

This relaxed afternoon is all about helping boys feel excited and confident as they begin their school journey. It's an opportunity to meet future classmates, explore their new surroundings, enjoy games and activities, and create those first special memories together.

Parents will also have the chance to meet members of our Pre Prep team and connect with other families before the start of term.

🌍 From Lockers Park to The Gambia: Supporting Barakah K***a School

At Lockers Park, we believe that being a Global Citizen begins with understanding that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.

Over the past year, we have been proud to support Barakah K***a School in The Gambia, as part of our wider commitment to helping communities both close to home and further afield.

We are delighted to learn that Barakah K***a School has now successfully enrolled 150 students across Years 7 and 8, providing young people with access to education and opportunities that have the potential to transform their futures.

Progress is also being made towards a purpose-built school campus, which will enable Barakah K***a School to welcome many more students in the years ahead.

For our boys, seeing the impact of their school community's support is an important part of understanding what Global Citizenship really means: looking beyond ourselves, developing an understanding of the wider world and recognising what generosity, collaboration and collective action can achieve.

What does a boys’ education actually change in practice?

Choosing a single-sex school is a decision families often consider carefully. At Lockers Park, we believe it is entirely reasonable for parents to ask what this type of education means for their son and whether it will help him to learn, develop and feel at home.

For us, single-sex education is not simply a matter of teaching boys separately. It means creating an environment designed around how boys learn, rather than asking them to adapt to one that was not shaped with them in mind.

Across the classroom, the wider curriculum and daily school life, boys are encouraged to move, question, contribute and try something unfamiliar.

Our purposefully small classes allow teachers to know each boy as an individual. Femi joins Lockers Park in September, and we’re delighted to celebrate a fantastic sporting achievement ahead of his arrival.

At his Year 5 Sports Day, Femi was proudly awarded the Victor Ludorum, recognising his outstanding performance across the day.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Femi to the Lockers Park community and seeing him embrace new opportunities, make the most of our ‘Sport Every Day’ philosophy and continue to develop his sporting talents across a wide range of disciplines.
