What a fantastic day yesterday turned out to be at Slough Olympica! Over 600 people in attendance, all trying out different sports and activities, with clubs coming together for a common purpose.

We were even fortunate enough to be front and centre on the BBC article describing the ongoings of the day!

At one point, we had a line of about 10 kids all wanting to try out the Wavemaster and smash some of our boards. Some of them were so good, and picked up the technique so well, Mr Powell had to get out some stronger boards!

What was perhaps even better to see, was just how many martial arts clubs were in one spot - all sharing positivity, watching each other's demonstrations, even joining some of the open seminars. The common message being "find a martial art you enjoy, but do a martial art!"

A massive thank you to everyone who came to support us yesterday, making our demonstration a possibility, and enabling us to bring Taekwon-Do to so many at Slough Olympica 🙏

After an incredibly high intensity week and with injuries creeping in, it just had to be a Patterns and exploration kind of day yesterday.

First to the church, ice cream, then up to the viewing tower which had some amazing views (great for a photo shoot too 😅) and finally topping it all off with a lovely dinner by the communal fire pit 🙂

Today - we are off to the rope park to swing through the trees!

Great day yesterday training with the team once again! Yet more work on countering with kicks whilst jumping and spinning - great fun!

We only managed the one full session yesterday alongside the morning wake and shake, as we are all starting to feel the aches setting in. Today, we are keeping things just a bit lighter to recover 🙂

That's another year of our After School Club at George Street Primary School complete! And we have been re-booked for the 2026-27 year too! 🎉

Great school with some lovely students, and quite some talent shown in these sessions! Looking forward to seeing some return during the summer to join our normal classes 🙂
