Hello after some time.
Just to let you know that we now look forward to putting our summer courses.
These include our popular ones : The Fantastical World Course ( this summer we are doing Alice In Wonderland ), The Pirates, Smugglers and Treasure Course ( an old Classic by Arthur Ransome - Peter Duck - an amazing seafaring treasure hunt for The Swallow and Amazon children , set in The Caribbean , on Crab Island )plus The Romantic Gothic Course ( this time we return to Wuthering Heights ).
Also as an additional activity we have been running free Book Clubs on Sunday afternoons for children / teens over the school terms. These have just completed three years!
All of our activities over here are non screen ones .
Everything is old fashioned but educationally meaningful!
We read aloud, we have notebooks, we make our own props , we make up costumes , we write our own play versions based upon the selected novel and we put on plays for the parents.
If you a new comer to our page and want to know more do get in touch l

Hello folks! 2025 feels like it has really got going now (we can’t quite believe that we’re into March already!!), and we have certainly been enjoying a bit of spring time activities here at NE HQ! And we are starting to look forward to our courses for the Easter holidays!

We will be journeying into Middle Earth in April with a brand new 4 day/3 night course focusing on JRR Tolkien’s brilliant novel The Hobbit! Perhaps the most well known and best loved of all fantasy fiction, The Hobbit tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins, a small being who gets swept (unwillingly and unwittingly!) into an epic adventure which will force him to leave the tranquil landscape of his beloved home and journey across the world; doing battle with trolls, wargs, goblins and giant spiders, finding friends in shapeshifting beings, wizards and giant eagles, on a quest to recover the long-ago vanquished home of the Dwarves, stolen from them by the terrible dragon Smaug!

The course will run from the 7th-10th of April and will begin at 10am on the Monday, finishing with the usual performance and tea party for parents and family at 4pm on the Thursday.
This course is most suitable for 8-12 year olds.

Do get in touch to find out more and book your place! 🧙‍♂️ 🦅 🏔️ 🐉

We love quotes from The Secret Garden! 🪴

"Everything is made out of magic, leaves and trees, flowers and birds, badgers and foxes and squirrels and people. So it must be all around us. In this garden - in all the places.”
