This morning the children were treated to a performance by the Elmore String Quartet. They learnt about how old they were when they first started playing their chosen instrument, their favourite songs to play and the differences in the violins, viola and cello. We would like to say thank you to them for coming in and sharing such wonderful music with the children.

This morning Wonder Zone went to visit Chysauster Ancient Village as part of their history learning about the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. We would like to say a huge thank you to The English Heritage for volunteering their time to show the children various Iron Age artefacts and for telling the children all about what life was like when people lived there over 2000 years ago.

Today is National Poetry Day and the children in Wonder Zone and Study Zone spent some time this afternoon sharing their favourite poems with one another. It was so lovely to see such a brilliant range of poetry and the children read their favourite poems beautifully.

🏏 Cricket Competition 2026 🏏
This year, only Halwin and Sithney were able to attend the cricket competition at Constantine Cricket Club, which meant there was the opportunity for a proper full-length match between the two schools.
It was a closely contested game, with both teams playing brilliantly throughout. After an exciting match, Sithney emerged victorious with a score of 336–311.
A huge thank you to Mr Warren for organising the event, to everyone at Constantine Cricket Club for hosting and giving up their time, and to Piran for keeping such accurate score throughout the day.
The squash and ice lollies were a welcome treat and very much appreciated by all! 🍦
Well done to all the players for their excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and effort. 👏🏏

Wonder Zone have been busy creating jungle pictures this afternoon for their art project. They have learnt how to collage and build upon this by carefully cutting out and sticking animal images into their jungle scenes. We think they have done an amazing job with their creations!

Business enterprise 2026!

We would like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their hard work in designing and making different items to sell on their stalls along with marketing their product and learning about budgeting in order to make a profit. They certainly had a range of things to sell this year including strawberry kebabs, lemonade, baked goods, bracelets, key chains, plant pots and arts and crafts. We would also like to say a huge thank you to our families for coming and supporting them. The children have raised a whopping £265 in Business Enterprise this year with all proceeds going to Penhaligon’s Friends. Well done everyone!
