🌻 Our sunflowers have been growing beautifully, and Year 1 have been keeping a close eye on just how tall they’ve become!

The children have loved measuring, observing them grow, and it’s been wonderful to see the excitement as the sunflowers reach higher each week. We can’t wait to see how much taller they grow!

A big thank you to The Great Gardens of Cornwall for helping inspire our young gardeners!

🌟 Celebrating 25 Years of Service! 🌟

Last week in assembly, we were delighted to celebrate a very special milestone for Mrs Bidgood and Mrs Stinton, who both received their 25 Years of Service badges.

The badges were presented by one of our trustees, Peter, in recognition of their dedication, commitment, and outstanding contribution to our school community over the past 25 years.
Thank you, Mrs Bidgood and Mrs Stinton, for your hard work, care, and unwavering support of our pupils and families. What an incredible achievement!

Our Year 4 pupils had a fantastic visit from Nathan at The Songwriting Charity!

The class worked in groups to come up with powerful lyrics about anti-bullying, before taking turns to perform and sing their ideas around the microphone. Nathan then recorded all of their contributions and expertly brought them together to create one amazing song!
It was wonderful to see the children’s confidence, creativity, and teamwork shine throughout the session, while learning such an important message about kindness and respect.

A huge thank you to Nathan for such a special experience!

🌻 Little Gardeners, Big Sunflowers! 🌻
Last week Year 1 planted our sunflower seeds for the Little Gardeners, Big Sunflowers project. The children loved getting stuck in, and we can’t wait to watch them grow over the next few weeks.

We’ll be sharing our progress as our seedlings start to sprout

Last week pupils took part in an inspiring Rocket Day led by George from the Royal Air Force Youth Engagement Team. They learned how real engineers use maths daily, even loading a plane requires complex calculations.

Using constant variables, pupils designed and built rockets, tested them, evaluated their results, and redesigned their models for improved performance. The second round of launches showed just how powerful iteration and problem‑solving can be.

Huge thanks to George for giving our pupils such a rich learning experience, and well done to both classes for their fantastic effort throughout the day.

Help raise money for our school! Bring your donation bags on Monday morning and drop them at the school gates (or school hall if wet).

They accept: coats, shoes, handbags, hats, bags, scarves & ties, bras, jewellery, socks, belts, t-shirts.

Please don’t include: soiled or wet clothes, duvets, pillows, carpets, school uniforms, corporate clothing, furniture, or batteries.

Rainbowfish class have been busy making jellyfish as part of their “Under the Sea” project over the past few weeks, and they are looking amazing!

The children have shown fantastic creativity and worked so hard on their colourful creations. Well done, Rainbowfish class - your classroom is looking wonderful!
