🌟✨ PRESCHOOL NEWSLETTER ✨🌟

Dear Parents & Carers 💛

🚀 This Week at Preschool

This week we have been exploring Space 🌎🪐✨, learning about the different planets and discovering the various parts and phases of the moon 🌙. The children have enjoyed asking questions, sharing their ideas, and learning all about our amazing universe.

👩‍🍳🥧 There have also been some delicious smells drifting through preschool as we made jam tarts. The children practised their rolling skills while helping to prepare the pastry and were very proud of their tasty creations.

⚽🏃‍♀️ Outdoors, we have enjoyed playing a variety of catching games, helping to develop coordination, turn-taking, and teamwork skills.

🌧️🌱 With all the rainy weather, we spent time watching the rain and talking about how it helps both plants and our planet. The children shared their thoughts about why water is important and how it helps things grow.

💃🎶 Next week

Wednesdays - Starting next week, Kimberley will be leading Movement and Dance sessions 👕👟. Please ensure your child comes to preschool wearing suitable clothing that allows them to move comfortably and safely.

Pre-School Weekly Newsletter 🐝

This week we have been celebrating Bee Week 🐝 .

The children have been learning:
What bees do, what bees are called, how they collect pollen and help flowers grow. 🌹 🐝

We enjoyed lots of fun activities including:
Bee themed arts and crafts, stories and discussions, sensory and creative play.

The children have also started making lemon and jam tarts
They have been learning how to:
Roll pastry, Cut shapes, Work from the outside of the pastry, Use their mathematical skills during baking 😃.
All children will get the opportunity to take part. We complete some activities in smaller groups so each child can enjoy a more in-depth learning experience.

We also had great fun using the parachute with:
Songs and games, Animal movement activities, Lots of laughter and teamwork.

☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️
The weather is going to be very hot, so please continue practising being sun safe.

When we return after half term, please ensure your child brings:
☀️ A named sun hat
☀️ Suncream applied before pre-school (we will reapply after lunch)
☀️ 💦 A named water bottle
