I've recently become Carbon Literate. 🌿

Having cared deeply about climate issues for many years, I assumed I already knew everything there was to know. Wrong! When I saw the opportunity for Carbon Literacy training, I decided to test this assumption and I knew that, at least, I needed to update my language.

For example, what do we mean by Climate Justice? What’s the most important area to focus on? How do we talk about the climate crisis in 2026 in a way that is honest, empowering and doesn't leave people feeling overwhelmed?

One of the things I valued most about the training was that it isn't just about making small personal lifestyle changes. It also explores how each of us can influence the people, organisations and communities around us, creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond our own actions. Given the year that we’ve had, it couldn’t be more urgent.

As someone who encourages people to slow down, reconnect with nature and care for themselves, it felt like a natural next step. Looking after ourselves and looking after the Earth aren't separate things - they're connected.

The training has already influenced some of the choices I'm making. I've committed to walking or cycling to work every day, so now I don’t even consider driving, and I travelled to the Cairngorms by train and bike which actually saved me money too. I’ve become aware of my water use at home for the first time, and I'm encouraging my yoga students to walk to class where possible. Perhaps most importantly, I feel more confident talking about the climate crisis in informed, practical, and empowering ways.

Every conversation matters. Every action matters. Together, those small actions can become something much bigger.

Calling all sensitive women! Looking for a way to connect with other likeminded women locally?

Nourish Women’s Circle is a small group that meets on Friday afternoons in and around Helensburgh, starting 18 September.

Over the weeks we spend time together indoors and outdoors, with a mix of gentle movement, relaxation, time in nature, creativity and conversation. Previous circles have included everything from restorative yoga and conscious dance to walks, time by Loch Lomond and gathering around the fire.

But a big part of Nourish is simply having the time and space to connect with other women and share our experiences of life’s seasons.

As one of our Spring participants put it:

"Being in a group of people who were open to sharing ideas, connection and honest reflection. With laughter and warmth weaved through everything we shared and discussed."

Another said she left the sessions "grateful, more relaxed and with a sense of joy at the connection with other like-minded women."

🍂 Nourish Women's Circle: Autumn 2026 is starting soon and there are still spaces available.

🌲 NEW Wild Yoga Nidra: Abernethy Forest 🌲

My latest wild Yoga Nidra is available to listen to free on Insight Timer.

Recorded in the beautiful Abernethy Forest, this practice is an invitation to let go, soften, and be held by one of Scotland's last remaining Caledonian pine forests. Imagine yourself resting on a bed of soft moss as the quiet presence of the trees supports you into deep rest.

This release feels particularly poignant. Shortly after I recorded it, wildfires swept through parts of this precious landscape. My heartfelt thanks go to all the emergency services, land managers, volunteers and everyone who worked tirelessly to contain the fire and protect this special place.

This meditation is also dedicated to one of my Yoga Nidra mentors, Nirlipta Tuli, who passed away on 18 July 2026. May he rest in peace.

If you need a few moments to reconnect with yourself and the natural world, I'd love to share this journey with you.

A few photos from our Harvest restorative yoga workshop on Saturday 🌾

Thank you to everyone who joined me for an afternoon of reflection, breath and deep rest as we paused to acknowledge what's grown during our year so far and to create space for the journey into Autumn.

I loved sharing the afternoon with you, and your messages afterwards made it even more special:

"As always I enjoyed the lovely relaxing session and your creative touches were just perfect."

"It was so lovely to be part of it and receive it all. I loved it and your language, tone and timing was exquisite."

Thank you for showing up and making these gatherings what they are. đź’›

And much gratitude to Loopdyloop for the extra special creative touches and for helping the event flow so smoothly.

If you'd like to continue exploring seasonal living, nature connection and time to slow down in the company of other women, Nourish Women's Circle: Autumn 2026 is coming up next month.

I created my Juicy Radiance online wellbeing course as I saw an urgent need for some simple steps to help people soften inside and out.

Our modern lifestyle and eating habits cause not only stress but also dryness.

Many of us spend our days caring for others, meeting deadlines, juggling responsibilities, grazing on the hoof and pushing through tiredness. Before we know it, we've lost touch with the things that help us feel calm and juicy - our joints stiffen, our minds tense, our hormones destabilise and our digestion slows down.

Juicy Radiance is an invitation to pause and rebuild your healthy glow.

Through small changes to your daily routine, it's designed to help you reconnect with your body, restore your energy and create nourishment that ripples into everyday life.

There's no pressure to keep up or be in a certain place by a certain date. You can work through everything at your own pace, and you'll have access to the course until January 2027.

If you've been waiting for a sign to make a little more space for yourself this autumn, perhaps this is it.

The last date to sign up is 30 September.

"I left the sessions grateful, more relaxed and with a sense of joy at the connection with other like-minded women."

This is one of the reflections from a participant in my Spring Nourish Women's Circle earlier this year. 🤎

Others described the group as:

✨ "A journey of discovery and unexpected learning."
✨ "An investment in myself, an act of self-care and an acknowledgement that I was worth it."

Nourish is a space to slow down, spend time in nature, explore gentle movement and deep rest, and connect with a small group of women in a warm, supportive environment. We meet on Friday afternoons in and around Helensburgh for wellbeing sessions based on the wisdom of yoga, Ayurveda and cyclical living.

If you've been thinking about joining, booking is now open for Nourish Women's Circle: Autumn 2026.

Places are limited to keep the group intimate.
