Last Monday class of the year for the art group at Helensburgh Civic Centre. A do what you fancy, put the world to rights kind of morning with some quality biscuits involved. A big thanks to all of you who joined up in March and make every Monday morning a good one. See below the recliner on my Christmas wishlist...see you in January. ❤️

Back to the exercise of 'Copy a Master'. I've always loved this woodblock print on the left. It's by Hiroshige (1797-1858) depicting the Erskine Bridge on a typically rainy day with the Renfrew Ferry gliding by in the background.
My version on the right is of a village in the Outer Hebrides.

I finished the painting(watercolour and ink) and then decided to add the rain. Didn't need to but couldn't resist it. It was our holiday last year with Storm Katrine 😀
