🎻 Violin/Viola Teacher Wanted! 🎻

Are you passionate about music and enjoy working with children? Helensburgh Strings is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic violin/viola teacher to join us from January 2027.

Based in Rhu, just outside Helensburgh, the role would involve around 3–4 hours of after-school teaching each Wednesday during term-time, working with school-aged pupils from beginner level upwards.

🎹 Piano playing/accompanying skills would be a bonus, but aren't essential.

🌟 VOLUNTEER WITH HELENSBURGH SENIOR STRING ENSEMBLE! 🌟

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to complete your Duke of Edinburgh volunteering? 🎻🎢

We're looking for enthusiastic young musicians to help out with the Helensburgh Senior String Ensemble, possibly as part of their Duke of Edinburgh volunteering programme. The role would involve supporting some of our younger players by helping them keep track of their music, as well as lending a hand with setting up and packing away.

Ideally, this would suit a string player, but any young musician who can confidently read basic notes and rhythms would be very welcome!
We currently have around 25 young musicians, ranging from P6 to S5 and playing at approximately Grade 1 to Grade 6 standard - so it's a great opportunity to gain experience working with a fun and friendly local ensemble while sharing your love of music.
