Montessori Pre-School Helens Bay Welcome to our Montessori Pre-School, set in the heart of beautiful Helen’s Bay, North Down.

Our daily routine is based on the understanding that, through our senses,

we learn to acquire the skills needed to equip us for life.







09:00 - Children arrive



09:15 – 09:30 - Circle Time: Register, Singing, Music, Talking, Introduction to our Activity of the Day.



09:30 – 10:30 - Montessori Learning



10:30 – 11:00 - Organic Snack Time. We provide organic drinks and snacks, - milk, bread, fruit, butter - locally

sourced where possible.



11:00 – 12:00 - Outdoor Play. Please ask to see our extensive range of outdoor activities.



12:00 – 12:45 - Montessori Learning (Water, Sand and Role Play)



12:45 - 1:00 - Story Time



1:00pm - Home Time



In addition, we introduce new languages and music and organise community visits (such as Guide Dogs.)

✨ Nearly time to return! ✨

As we get ready for another exciting year at MHB, we know this time can bring lots of different emotions for both children and parents, excitement, nerves, anticipation, and even a few tears. 💛

And that’s completely normal! Every child is different, and every transition takes time.

We’re ready to do all we can to make the return or start to school as gentle, positive and easy as possible, supporting our children and families every step of the way. 🌿 Big hugs at the ready.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and begin another wonderful year of learning, growing and making memories together! 🌈

Last week we celebrated a very special milestone at our MHB Graduation Day! 🎓✨
We are so proud of everything our children have achieved this year. While we celebrated their academic milestones, it was also about so much more. At MHB, it's not just about what our little ones have learned, it's about who they have become: kind, confident, curious, independent, and caring individuals.

Today, we celebrate all the amazing people who love, support, guide, and care for our little ones.

To the dads, stepdads, grandads, uncles, foster dads, and father figures who make a difference every day, thank you for your kindness, encouragement, and endless support.

We also want to recognise the wonderful mums and caregivers who take on both parenting roles with love and strength. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we celebrate you too.

Families come in many different shapes and sizes, and what matters most is the love, care, and encouragement that help children grow and thrive.

This week, we helped another one of our fantastic 3-year-olds learn to ride their bike with NO stabilisers! 🌟
Learning to ride independently at such a young age is a huge achievement, helping to build confidence, balance, coordination, resilience, and independence.
We’re so lucky to have such fabulous outdoor space for the children to safely practise, explore, and develop these important skills — a real win for active learning! 💛

The children explored nature, learned how to care for our planet, and even carried out a fun science experiment using bicarbonate soda and vinegar to create a giant foaming Earth! 🌱✨
