What a way to start the week with a weekend family Chimp get together.

It was so humbling seeing so many families choose to spend their weekend with is and although we didn't do any of the activities I'd planned (that's just how we flow at cheeky chimps... Some days they love the activities and want more and some days free play just wins).

After wanting to organise these for years and not we will definitely be doing them more often and for those that messaged and we're gutted to have missed it due to holidays, commitments and illness we will be doing organising the next one once the new school term is underway.

This is also on in Withernsea tomorrow morning from 10am till 12pm. And Sunday afternoon. If any parents coming to the beach day some of the older ones may enjoy the activities

We just can’t stop…

After Blue Light Weekend, the family fun continues with the Kids Weekend in conjunction with the Kite Weekend at Hull Road Playing Field in Withernsea.

Saturday, August 15 – 10am to noon
Kids activity trail – explore seven locations, complete the challenges, collect stamps and earn a small gift.

Forms will be available from each activity location and The Holderness & Hornsea Gazette at 170 Queen Street.

Sunday, August 16 – noon to 3pm
Obstacle Course afternoon – take on the challenge, have fun and get a small gift.

There will also be Withernsea’s biggest-ever free kite festival across the weekend – bring your kite and fly high!

All activities are free. See you there!

Tomorrow is colour fight day🎨

What started a few years ago has become an annual tradition and we couldn't possibly skip this year.

Were also finally making slime 🤞

We have our excavator archeology digging to do as we decided to wait till tomorrow for that and we will be having early birthday buns for pudding.🎂 🎂 🎂

Oh and the Chimps have already decided it'll be a water fight finale 🔫 💧 to our day with the lovely weather 🌞 forecast.

So spare clothes as always recommended, suncream and hats but not to worry we have a huge selection of spare hats and design your own hats llfrom last weeks activity available to wear and I'll have suncream as normal too for anyone that doesn't have. Other than that we'll all be having the best memory making kind of day and all should be ready for 🚿 🛁 come home time unless they all shower off under the hose as they were discussing together today 😂

Wasting water is usually a big no here. We of course have water play in abundance with trays and mud kitchen filled daily and majority of our outside play includes water.

But today we have made an exception and left the tap on for 10 minutes after what started as exploring a drip drip drip from turning the tap off has resulted in these 2 having a full power tap trying to connect the hose pipe and fill cups up the amount of giggles screeches and pure excitement has turned this from a waste of water moment to sheer enjoyment of two best friends sharing their fun and enjoyment together.

Well that lunch conversation just escaled quickly. What started as them deciding to ask each other who likes pears /strawberries/ honey/ etc then turned to who likes poo do you prefer rabbit or dog poo?

Did you know in some countries I think Iv heard they eat poo
