Y6 have had a fantastic workshop with Northern Gas Networks as part of our geography topic on renewable energy. We have been powering hydrogen cars and testing how long they power for on different surfaces 🚗

*Y5/6 Football Tournament Match Report*
We had a good tournament, especially with no recognised keeper and we grew in confidence as the games went on. We lost the first game 3-0, but then were unlucky in the next two, losing them both 1-0 to very good goals. Success came in game four when we won 6-0, with both Jacob’s scoring a hat-trick each. Game five JacobM scored another goal, and it was equalised in the last few seconds of the game to make it 1-1 draw. Special mentions to Heidi who was solid in defence and Sid who never stopped running in the middle. Also shout out to all the children who took a turn on the net!

As part of the National Year of Reading, we’re doing something every month. This month we are celebrating Roald Dahl Day (Sunday). In EYFS/1 they have made The Enormous Crocodile, in year 2/3 they have made potions like George’s Marvellous Medicine, in year 4/5 they made their own chocolates like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and in year 6 they have made silhouettes of different Roald Dahl characters 📚
