🥊🖤 THIS IS WHAT EHMAA IS ALL ABOUT!

Sometimes, the most important part of coaching isn’t teaching someone how to punch, kick or fight.

It’s those little moments. A few words of encouragement, a bit of reassurance and reminding a young fighter just how much they’re capable of.

After over 20 years of coaching, these are still the moments that mean the most to me.

At EHMAA, we push our students, challenge them and encourage them to step outside their comfort zones.

Because resilience isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.

It’s learning to face your nerves, overcome setbacks, deal with disappointment and find the courage to try again when things get tough.

And sometimes, all it takes is knowing someone believes in you.

We’re not just developing better fighters. We’re building stronger, more confident and resilient young people who can face challenges both on and off the mats.

That’s why we do what we do. ❤️

🏆🥊 EHMAA FIGHTER OF THE WEEK – FREDDY! 🥊🏆

A HUGE shout-out to Freddy, who has been awarded our Fighter of the Week! 👊🔥

This week, Freddy has really caught our attention, and not just for his performance, but for something far more important… his courage, determination and willingness to face his fears! 💪

At the weekend, Freddy stepped into his very first interclub. When he arrived, the nerves kicked in, and he was understandably apprehensive about even stepping onto the mats.

After a few encouraging chats throughout the morning, Freddy made the decision to give it a go.

And what happened next? HE ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT! 👏🔥

Sometimes, the biggest victories aren’t about winning fights. They’re about overcoming the doubts in your own head, finding the courage to step outside your comfort zone and proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you think.

That’s exactly what Freddy did!

And he didn’t stop there! He’s come straight back into training this week and put in another fantastic shift, showing the same determination, effort and attitude that we love to see at EHMAA.

Freddy, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. You’ve shown that being brave isn’t about having no fear. It’s about feeling nervous and doing it anyway!

A truly well-deserved award this week! 👏🏆

🥊 WHAT A NIGHT AT EHMAA! 🥊

A HUGE well done to everyone who attended our incredibly busy, action-packed classes this evening! 👏🔥

💥 KIDS CLASS – THREE GROUPS, ONE STANDARD!

Our first hour saw three fantastic groups working incredibly hard, showing brilliant attitude, focus, discipline and determination throughout.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Marnie for her FREE trial class, and what a performance! She absolutely smashed her first session! 👏💪

Every group worked brilliantly, and it was fantastic to see so much effort, enthusiasm and improvement across the mats!

🥊 FIGHTERS & SPARRING CLASS

Our second hour was just as productive!

Whilst our fighters were busy developing their skills, Jacob, Jayme and Ben were continuing their development through our Cadet Coaching Programme, working on their First Aid course.

It’s brilliant to see our younger coaches investing time into developing themselves and gaining valuable skills beyond the mats. 👏

Meanwhile, our fighters were put through their paces with:

🥊 Footwork and movement
🥊 Shadow boxing
🥊 Technical sparring
🥊 Tag-team sparring

The improvements we’re seeing in our fighters are fantastic! Better movement, sharper decision-making, growing confidence and a real willingness to learn and push themselves.

Another busy evening made possible by the dedication, hard work and commitment of our coaches. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed and are hugely appreciated.

🥊🔥 15 FIGHTERS. ONE TEAM. ONE STANDARD. WHAT A DAY FOR EHMAA! 🔥🥊

👏 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY FOR OUR FIGHTERS! 👏

Today, EHMAA proudly took a team of 15 fighters to Trojan Martial Arts for a fantastic interclub event, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them! 💪🥊

For some of our fighters, today was their VERY FIRST EXPERIENCE stepping onto the mats against fighters from other clubs. For others, it was another valuable opportunity to gain more mat time, build experience, develop their skills and continue progressing.

And what a day it turned out to be! 🔥

We witnessed some absolutely brilliant bouts, fantastic combinations, great movement, determination, control and, most importantly, the courage to step outside their comfort zones.

💥 Some fighters were full of confidence.

💥 Some were battling nerves.

💥 Some were apprehensive about stepping onto the mats.

💥 Others couldn’t wait to get started!

But here’s what matters most…

ALL 15 FIGHTERS STEPPED ONTO THOSE MATS, FACED THEIR CHALLENGES AND GAVE IT EVERYTHING THEY HAD! 👊

And THAT is something worth celebrating!

At EHMAA, we constantly remind our students that progression isn’t just about winning bouts, collecting medals or being the best fighter in the room.

It’s about showing courage when you’re nervous, demonstrating resilience when things get difficult, learning from every experience and having the determination to keep improving.

Today, every single one of our fighters demonstrated exactly what EHMAA stands for! ❤️

As coaches, seeing how far these fighters have come is incredibly rewarding. The confidence, improvements, technical ability and determination shown today are a testament to the hard work they put into their training week after week.

But something else stood out today…

THE TEAM SPIRIT! 👏

Seeing our fighters supporting one another, encouraging their teammates and representing our academy together is exactly the environment and culture we work so hard to build.

Whether today was your first interclub or your tenth, you should all walk away with your heads held high knowing you’ve taken another important step forward in your martial arts journey.

A massive thank you to Trojan Martial Arts for hosting such a brilliant interclub and giving fighters from local clubs the opportunity to come together, test their skills and gain invaluable experience in a supportive environment. 👏

A huge thank you also goes to our coaching team, parents and supporters who gave up their Sunday to support our fighters. Your commitment and encouragement never go unnoticed.

And finally, to our 15 EHMAA FIGHTERS…

🥊🔥 WEDNESDAY NIGHT KIDS FIGHTING CLASS – OUTSTANDING! 🔥🥊

What a fantastic evening on the mats last night with our EHMAA Kids Fighting Class! 👊

Outstanding performances across the board!

The effort, determination, resilience and attitude shown by these young fighters were absolutely brilliant.

Every single one of them stepped onto the mats ready to work, ready to learn and, most importantly, ready to challenge themselves.

💥 Pushing beyond their comfort zones
💥 Developing confidence under pressure
💥 Building mental and physical resilience
💥 Improving technical skills and control
💥 Supporting and encouraging their teammates

THIS IS WHAT OUR KIDS FIGHTING CLASS IS ALL ABOUT!

It’s not just about learning how to fight. It’s about developing young people who are confident, disciplined, respectful and capable of overcoming challenges both on and off the mats.

As coaches, watching these youngsters develop week after week is incredibly rewarding. The progress we’re seeing throughout the group is something to be genuinely proud of.

🔥 FIGHTER OF THE WEEK – JACK 🔥

A huge shout-out to Jack, who has been awarded our Fighter of the Week this week! 👊🥊

Jack put in an outstanding effort in training tonight, showing a brilliant attitude, some fantastic skills and, most importantly, real determination when things got tough.

He took a few hard knocks along the way and finished with a really demanding final round that pushed him mentally and physically into territory he hasn’t experienced before.

But he kept going. 💪

That’s exactly what training is about, learning how to stay composed, dig deep and keep working when you’re tired, under pressure and outside your comfort zone.

An amazing effort from Jack tonight and thoroughly deserved this week’s award! 🏆🔥
