*** Important Information***

As some of you will be aware on the 6th August a car drove into the pillar outside the nursery. As a result of the impact there has been some damage to the interior of the nursery, mainly in the Dragonfly room and part of the reception area.
We are dedicated to providing quality child care to our families no matter the obstacles, so we are going to be opening in September just with a few adaptations.
The building has been checked by two builders, both who have said that it is safe. However with all the noise and disruption caused by the repairs, we are going to have to adapt slightly. Parents can see the full details of this in their Tapestry app
Due to the impact and the builders needing constant access in and out, the front door will be unusable. We will be using the garden gate as our main access way. In order to maintain a high level of security and enable us to safeguard the children from visitors an extra 'airlock' type of structure and lockable door will be built around the orginal gate.
We understand that there will be some disruption but we are working tirelessly to make these as minimal as possible. In order for us to ensure that all our learning environments are as appealing as possible we will need a couple of extra days to set it all up, therefore we are going to have to delay our re-opening date to the 7th September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. (Any children booked in for their settling in visits will be contacted with a new date in due course)
I would like to thank you all in advance for your understanding and support during this time.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you will be aware, we are currently experiencing a period of extreme hot weather, with high temperatures expected to continue over the next couple of days.
We remain committed to supporting parents who need their children to stay in nursery. However, due to the design of some areas of our building, particularly the main room, temperatures are becoming very high as the day progresses.
In order to prioritise the health, comfort and wellbeing of all children, we have put temporary measures in place for today and tomorrow. Parents who are able to do so may collect their child earlier in the day.
This will allow us to accommodate those children who need to remain in nursery in cooler, more suitable spaces.

If you feel that travelling to and from the nursery is unsuitable please feel free to stay home and we look forward to seeing you in cooler climate

These measures will continue for the rest of the week
Thank you

As you will be aware, sadly one of our beautiful babies passed away recently. Before he died, he and his family were supported by Acorns who made this horrendous time a little easier for everyone.
As a setting we are trying to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity so they can continue to help families like Lincolns.
This year all the proceeds of our summer party will be donated to Acorns in Lincoln's name.
Therefore, we are now asking if people can kindly donate prizes for our raffle and Tombola.
If you feel you can help please contact us on here or email [email protected]
Thank you in advance for your help with this.

It is with the heaviest heart that I tell you the saddest news that one of precious children, Lincoln, passed away earlier this month.

Lincoln has had the biggest impact on this nursery with every child, visitor and parent falling instantly for his warm smile and happy nature. He has captured the heart of every member of staff; inspiring us all with his strength, determination and courage. His personality lit up every room he was in. There was not a day he didn’t make us all smile, and he always added some of his special sparkle to our lives. He has made us cry with pride at the milestones he achieved, and we have learnt so much more from him than we could ever teach anyone.

The pain we all feel at his death is nothing in comparison to his amazing family who have loved, cared and nurtured him and given him the most amazing life. We send all our love and prayers to them, and they will be at the forefront of our minds now and for the long path of grief they will be travelling.

Below is a link for the details of Lincoln's funeral on the 19th May as well as where to send donations in his name.

The nursery will be closed on the day of the funeral in order for staff to attend so they can say their goodbyes.

Dedicated to the memory of Lincoln James Evans
