🌴🍍Textures🍍🌴

It’s rainforest week and we’re busy exploring textures, BUT WHY❓

Through the sense of touch, our babies brain builds up interconnecting circuits within and between important parts of the brain such as the amygdala (emotional centre) and the motor cortex which controls action.

Babies will naturally examine and concentrate at length on textured objects that have a soft, comforting
feel such as fleeces and fur fabrics on our forest floor this week BUT we are also exposing them to textures like coconuts 🥥 and pineapples 🍍 to help promote overall sensory development, fine motor skills but also exposure to the world 🌍 around them.

Whilst we are delighted Baby Sensory® has become a household phrase, did you know it is a trade marked term, so only official classes, run under the Wow World Group, can advertise themselves as Baby Sensory®?

If you don’t see the Baby Sensory® logo or the booking link does not direct you to our official website, then it’s not an official Baby Sensory® class.

Look for our green and yellow mats in class and our ‘Say Hello to the Sun’ song, which starts all of our classes. 🌞

It’s been a little while since our wonderful class leader, George has been on the mats teaching.

George comes back from maternity leave today and will be leading our Tuesday & Thursday babies throughout the autumn term🧡
