The Counting House Challenge this week is:
# Kings & Queens!
🫅👸
As it is the King’s birthday this weekend…this week we challenge you to get creative and design your very own crowns with your children, so you can be a King or Queen for the day!
You could create these in a wide range of ways with various materials. For example, you could use Lego blocks to construct a crown or you could explore various creative materials such as cardboard, paint or glitter or you could explore natural resources such as twigs, leaves and shells!
🎨
This is a great way to promote communication & language among your children, encouraging them to follow simple instructions as well as learning new language such as ‘King’ ‘Queen’ ‘Royal’. It is also a great way to promote independence by allowing your children to make their own choices within materials and it can also help promote their fine and gross motor skills when experimenting with different materials and tools.
We look forward to seeing your crowns, please post videos / photos to your child’s Tapestry account so we can see the fun you get up to!
Thank you 😊
