We’re looking for Community Council Members to join our Academy Community Councils.

Academy Community Councils are the local committees that help our academies provide the best opportunities for children and young people.
You don’t need to work in education or have governance experience.

We’re looking for people who care about their community, want young people to succeed and are happy to bring their own perspective to the table.

Training and support are provided.

Year 6 have enjoyed a lovely morning at the Salvation Army in Heckmondwike. As part of Fast Forward to Secondary School, they answered true or false questions, looked at incoming changes, discussed what they were looking forward to and what the challenges might be, and had a tie tying competition (which we won!). ⏩🏫👔
The class were impeccably behaved and represented the school beautifully.

Year 2 had a fantastic time on their first school trip to Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve. The children took part in a minibeast hunt, bird spotting, tree bark rubbing and artwork collage.

We had a lovely walk down the canal and a man showed us his barge boat on the canal!
