Here is a visual tour of my Dyer's Garden 🌼 Beautifully captured by Elsiebee Photography
It's a little patch of joy, nestled alongside the Rochdale canal where our boat Blue Moon is moored, just outside Hebden Bridge at Redacre allotments Redacre Growing Project
Over the last three years, I've turned a small patch of overgrown land filled with nettles, bind w**d, brambles and docks into a Dyers Garden. It currently has about 10 varieties of dye plants in it; Coreopsis (lots of varieties), Dyers Chamomile, Madder, Weld, Marigolds, Safflower, Cosmos, Sunflowers, Dhalia, Holly Hock and Sabiosa.
It's filled with colour, it attracts the bees and birds, and all manner of other insects, and it is the start of an evolving chapter of my crafty business.

Thank you Lindsay ❤️ for capturing such beautiful photos of the garden, and the harvesting of the flowers 🌼❤️

I've been attracting our little feathered friends to my dyer's garden by putting sunflower heads on the fence posts. Once the sunflowers have stopped flowering, the seeds form and the birds love them. I get to enjoy watching the T**s visit the garden, and my fence posts are greatly improved too, they have crowns now! That's my garden tip for today!

Here are a few photos taken on a sunny winter day at the start of the year when Lindsay from Elsiebee Photography visited my studio at Thornber business park.

Last week, lovely Lindsay visited me again, this time for a summer photo shoot at my dyer's garden and mooring at Redacre Growing Project

I got to flounce around my garden (rather self-consciously) picking flowers and sharing the joys of my little dyer’s garden. Lindsay is also a big flower fan, so we had a great time discussing how amazing nature is, whilst also reflecting on how best to promote a small business.
It can be hard putting yourself out there! I know the flowers will look stunning in the photos, let’s hope there’s a few good shots of me too.
If anyone can catch a nice photo of me, it’ll be Lindsay! I’m looking forward to sharing my summer shots with you soon.
