What a difference a day makes ! No wind ! No rain & some sunshine ! Today the trainers were training ! Today’s SSI Sidemount course taught us so much, not just the skills but the way best to teach it going forward. Nothing & no one is perfect but the lessons learned were invaluable . Thanks Bill ❤️

Well what an awful day you all had for your first dives … determination definitely won over the bad weather ! Martin completed his PADI Scuba Diver with Open water to follow. Polly completed her SSI Open water, it’s been a long time coming but your hard work has paid off so keep it up.
Little Elara did so well and swam with the fishes on her first SSI Open water dive, the cold beat you today but not next time . Great to see Zac & Mark in the water & Andy & Kenny, now mum can join you ❤️ well done all .

Running Sunday October 25th SSI Equipment techniques. A great course for those who have their own kit & want to learnt to keep in great condition and do minor repairs .
This can be done as an online course however this course also offers a session with an experienced service engineer giving it much more value .
Key Learnings & Techniques:
Equipment Selection: Learn how to choose gear that fits your diving style, understanding components like masks, fins, BCDs, and regulators (balanced, piston, diaphragm).
Understanding Your Gear: Gain in-depth knowledge of how your equipment functions, including tanks, regulators, and BCDs, often through visual aids or even partial disassembly.
Maintenance & Care: Practice essential preventative maintenance, such as proper rinsing, drying, storage, and what to do before and after dives.
Problem Solving: Learn to identify and fix common issues like a "sticky inflator" or regulator free-flow and know what to pack in a "save-a-dive" kit.

That was one busy evening , Liv came back for another session brining partner Harry with her. Well done Harry great in the water and fantastic your both thinking of Open Water in the new year. Martin just has one more session left before completing his PADI open water confined water training , heading up to Capernwray for his first dives next weekend along side Elara an awesome little diver at only ten showing skill and understanding beyond her years on her SSI Open Water course. Debs completed her SSI Fish ID course . We plan to do an additional session with this using the Red Sea fish ready for Novembers trip if anyone wants to join us .
