🌟 What a lovely evening at Colden! 🌟

Today, the Reception children enjoyed exploring our stunning local area, searching for signs of winter and using their senses to discover the beauty around them! ❄️👀

We are so proud of our little explorers and their curiosity about the world! Let’s celebrate the wonderful environment we have right on our doorstep. 🌳✨

It’s that exciting time of year again! Applications for starting Primary School in September 2026 are now open, and we are thrilled to welcome new families to our Colden community! We have spaces available throughout school too 🏫✨

If you’re considering joining us in September, don’t forget the deadline is this Thursday! We can’t wait for you to join us at Colden! There is still time if you would like to have a look around school this week—ring the School Office to arrange a visit! 📞

A gorgeous last day of school before Christmas! 🎄✨

What better way to spend it than on a whole school walk through our local area, enjoying the festive spirit together! Finishing off at May's Shop for a rest and a biscuit... what more could we want?! 🍪🍫

🎄✨ What a fantastic Christmas week we’ve had at Children’s Club! This week at Breakfast and After School Club, children have enjoyed all sorts of festive treats, including making Christmas Eve boxes, baking and decorating, and then a Christmas party today! 🎉

We are so proud of our children and the joy they’ve brought to our community. Thank you to all the staff and families for making this festive season so special! 🌟

🌟 What a fantastic day for our Reception, Year 1, 2, 3, and 4 students! While our Year 5 and 6 pupils are off on their residential trip, the younger children enjoyed an exhilarating festive fitness session led by local PT Leigh Middleton. 💪🎉

The children were put through their paces with exciting circuits that kept everyone active and smiling! A huge thank you to our Friends of Colden School (FOCs) for organising this wonderful event. Your support makes such a difference! 🙌

Let’s celebrate our students’ achievements and commitment to staying fit and healthy! 🎊

🌟 What a fantastic day we had at Halifax Industrial Museum! 🌟

Our Year 3 and 4 students had the opportunity to make new friends with Cross Lane Primary School as we explored the museum together. In teams we took part in different activities throughout the day. Our favourite was engineering bridges for Barbara the sheep to test, a baaa-rilliant way to learn and collaborate! 🐑✨

We even took a moment to admire the beautiful Christmas decorations and enjoy some playtime at the park. 🎄🎉

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this day so memorable! Let’s keep building those friendships and learning together!

Christmas community spirit alive and well up at Colden! 🌟🎄

Thank you so much to Trees & Tranquility for donating the most magical Christmas tree for Colden Junior and Infant School! As is a rite of passage, the Year 6 pupils decorated the tree with every ounce of tinsel and sparkle they could find! ✨🎄

Colden School will also be making trips up to the site (just up the road from the New Delight) for some workshops, picnics and forest school sessions in the near future- a great link the school is privileged to have formed!

🎉 This afternoon, our school community came together for a delightful Christmas Parents’ Afternoon!🎄

Children welcomed parents and family members to join in a heartwarming session of Christmas card making for our local community and the English Cafe in Todmorden College 🎨

Working in our houses (Red Kite, Sparrowhawk and Peregrine Falcon 🦅), our talented students collaged, watercoloured, and finger painted up a storm! 🌟 It was a wonderful opportunity to spread festive cheer and showcase their creativity. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so special! Check back tomorrow for all the finished designs 🎄✨️

🎉 Cha Cha Cha-llenge for a Children in Need! 🎉

What an absolute blast we had at school raising money for Children in Need! 🤗 In our comfiest pyjamas, we got our dancing shoes on (well, sort of! 🩴) and Cha Cha Cha'd our way to a fantastic total of £78.38! 💰

A huge thank you to our Well Being Council for organising such a great day. Thankyou to everyone who contributed, whether it was through donations or joining in the fun. Your support makes a real difference to those in need. 🐻💛
