As a school community we were incredibly shocked and saddened by the passing of a much loved and well respected member of the Toner staff team : Mrs Marley. Mrs Marley was an absolute fighter and remained positive throughout her illness, coming into work with a happy smile, even during her treatment.
Many staff and children worked closely with Mrs Marley during her time at Toner and she has impacted on so many people's lives. She was always a thoughtful and caring member of staff, who would go out of her way to ensure the children were well cared for and supported. Mrs Marley was always kind with her time, supporting many football matches in all weathers, cheering from the side lines. Her role as teaching assistant saw her working with many children during her 25 years, nothing was ever too much to ask of her.
We will be planting this rose tree in her memory and are planning fundraising events in her honour in the new school year.
She will be a big miss to us all at Toner.
