Introducing our newest apprentice Tyler!!

Tyler is 16 and has had a passion for working in childcare for some years already.
After doing work experience in a primary school, Tyler realised it was Early Years that stole his heart.
He absolutely blew us away with his passion and professionalism at his interview, especially for someone of 16years.

Huge huge thanks and a massive merry Christmas to these amazing ladies as they reach the end of term and festive break.
September term is the tough one, settling in our new children and ensuring those special bonds are formed with key workers and their friends. Another year they’ve smashed it and a happy group of children are already thriving and positive relationships with parents have been formed.
Enjoy these last two days and then your much deserved break with your beautiful families.

We have our very own celebrity today!

During the summer holidays, our wonderful senco Becca and her son Blake threw a message in a bottle at our local beach in South Shields and to their surprise it was recently found in Denmark! Blake was the star of the show this morning and landed his first radio interview 🤩

Such an amazing, positive story for all of us today 🥰

She’s Qualified Today 👏🏼🎓📜 Caitlin

Before I gush about the congratulations and how amazing Caitlin is - which I will….. I’d like to say a few words.
A while ago, I heard a rumour that ‘Noah’s Ark don’t take on level 2 or unqualified staff so don’t even bother applying’…
Now, yes my standard are high, that will never change, HOWEVER, as per EYFS guidelines I can take on level 2 or unqualified staff because I do have so many well qualified staff working for me.
I have to say, some of my level 2 staff choices have been the best choices I have ever made and I’d be devastated to see them go.
As for unqualified staff, like Caitlin was, she was a hairdresser, who wanted so badly to change her career path to work in Early Years. Why should we not snap these amazing people up? She walked through the door and it was where she was meant to be! 18 months of full time work, being an mam, running a home and an apprenticeship, she’s blown it out the park and the children are so lucky that we took that chance on her because she will impact their lives so much.
The next fabulous lady on our qualification list is Katie Henderson, Katie came in as unqualified support, but that girl was not going to slip through my fingers! She is a natural! Within weeks she felt the love for the job and the children and enrolled on the apprenticeship. She is now full time and studying hard. I can’t wait for her to qualify too.

Just because somewhere has high standards don’t think your not worthy, there’s always potential if you have the drive and passion 😍

Caitlin, you are bloody amazing! Well done! We are all so proud of you ###x

🕷️ Spooky Spider Counting 🕸️

The 3-4s group have participated in a spooky spider activity this morning! We used the tweezers to pick up the spiders and count them on each numbered spider web!

This activity has addressed numerous developmental milestones for our children, encompassing physical development through hand-eye coordination, as well as psychological, social, and emotional growth through turn-taking and mutual encouragement. It has also enhanced their mathematical and communication abilities by incorporating number language and counting up to ten. Excellent work, you spooky little ones! 🕸️🕷️
