Our annual Careers Convention was a fantastic success this week! 🎉 Our pupils had a great time speaking with local employers and education providers, exploring the different pathways available to them after leaving school.

A huge thank you to all our guests for giving up their time to share their knowledge and advice. It was especially lovely to welcome back some of our former pupils, who shared their experiences of apprenticeships and acted as brilliant role models for our current pupils! 👏

A group of lucky Year 7 and 8 pupils enjoyed a trip out to Riverside Bowling this week for a secondary school ten pin bowling event! Well done to everyone involved, and a special shoutout to Leo C who finished in second place! 🥈🎳

It was fantastic to see some of our recent school leavers at our Careers Convention yesterday, representing the industries they’re working in and sharing their experiences of apprenticeships with our current pupils.

It’s always wonderful to hear from former pupils and see where their qualifications have taken them so it was a joy to welcome back Finlay, Alex and Robbie. Keep up the great work, guys! 💪

If any former pupils would be interested in providing careers guidance, we’re always looking for employers and guest speakers to get involved with our careers programme and share their knowledge to inspire the next generation. Please get in touch!

From sitting in the classroom to inspiring the next generation! 🙌🔧

Our Josh headed back to Hebburn Comprehensive School with three familiar faces – former students and now first-year Seta apprentices! 👏

Finlay, a welding apprentice at Balaena Tyne; Alex, an electrical fitter at Aardvarc Electrical Engineers; and Robbie, an electrical fitter at Protection Installation Services, all came along to help and inspire!

They shared their journeys, from applying for apprenticeships and tackling interviews to getting stuck into their engineering careers. And what a welcome they got! Teachers and students were buzzing to see them back! 💙

This is why apprenticeship ambassadors matter! 💥

There's nothing more inspiring than seeing someone who once sat in your classroom, made the same choices you're facing and is now out there making it happen!

Real people. Real experiences. Real opportunities.

A massive well done to Finlay, Alex and Robbie for sharing their stories and showing the next generation just what's possible after school.

If you can see it, you can be it!

Our new Year 8 Reading Reboot book clubs launched this week, with one big mission: to inspire a love of reading! 😍📚

The first session was all about unboxing our brand-new books, having a browse and enjoying a hot chocolate ☕️ - and we’re already excited to get stuck into our first reads next week! 🤩

A huge thank you to the School Library Association (UK) (uksla) and Charlotte Aitken Trust for making this exciting project possible! ❤️🖤💛
