Fernbees Day Nursery

On Wednesday the children came in full of World Cup excitement, proudly wearing their England kits, practising penalties and showing off their best goal celebrations ⚽✨
Such a fun build‑up to the match!

Yesterday, our head office and management teams travelled to London to attend the Family Business of the Year Awards—and what an incredible evening it turned out to be!
We are absolutely delighted and immensely proud to share that we received two prestigious awards:
🏆 Family Business of the Year – North of England & Northern Ireland
🏆 Family Business of the Year – Health & Welfare Sector
As if that wasn’t enough, we were also honoured to be named runners-up for the Supreme Champion Award—a truly special recognition.
These achievements mean so much to us and are a true reflection of the passion, dedication, and values that drive our organisation every day.
A heartfelt thank you to every single person who plays a part in making our organisation what it is—from our teams on the ground to our leadership and everyone in between. This recognition belongs to all of you.

✨ We’ve been making the most of the sunshine at Fernbees!
We had a special visit from the ice cream van and enjoyed some delicious scoops in the sun🍦💛

Our Babybees marked World Bee Day with some lovely sensory play. We explored lots of different textures and a variety of bright, bee‑themed colours 🐝💛

Our Honeybees had the loveliest day at the park. We gathered leaves and sticks , we explored the outdoors, and finished off with lots of fun on the playground 🛝☀

A May Day full of music, dancing, and happy little feet! We had the best time celebrating with our friends at Fernlea🎶🌞

To finish Global Intergenerational Week, we spent the afternoon in the garden for a lively Sports Day. From ball games to skipping, we enjoyed a whole range of activities with our friends from Fernlea 💛🌼

At Olea Care Group, our quarterly Employee Spotlight recognises those of our team who have gone above and beyond their duties. This quarter, we are celebrating McKenzie! 🤩

We are delighted to nominate McKenzie for recognition this month. Her exemplary practice, strong EYFS knowledge, and child centred approach make her an outstanding role model. Her flexibility and support across the nursery have been invaluable. We are also thrilled to congratulate her on becoming Room Lead for Honeybees, where she will bring the same dedication and leadership she shows every day.

Yesterday our Bumblebees visited the Stockroom with the Grandbees to celebrate Global Intergenerational Week. From train rides to story time, exploring the Stockroom to enjoying a lovely picnic. What a lovely day we had💛📚
