SW Sounds I am a sound engineer and music technology tutor. Providing recording, mixing and mastering services I have a mobile set up and can record almost anywhere.

I am an experienced sound engineer, tutor and musician and I provide production services and training. These services include:
Recording, Mixing and Mastering; if you have song ideas or even fully formed tunes I can help you record them or if you have recorded them and just want your songs mixed and mastered I can do this. Live sound engineer - with theatre and large venue experience. Training or

tuition; if you want to record something at home then I can provide advice and help you learn how to record your own songs using computer software, such as Cubase, Logic or ProTools. Studio Set Up; whether you have just got a PC or Mac and a guitar or a load of equipment I can help you set it up. I can come to you or I can provide some help on-line where this is practical. I am based in Sussex but my clients spread around the SE England, I also have clients further afield. I have worked on commercial releases.

Just to say if you are intent on recording podcasts or any other broadcast and you haven't the first idea how to do it I can help.
I have started getting requests for help from more voice artists and podcasters in the last few months. So I thought it was about time that I let the rest of you know that I don't only help musicians. I can help with any recording or post production.

Just to let anyone know that during this odd period I am continuing to provide support and tuition to my new or existing clients remotely. I provide support and tuition via Chrome Remote Desktop preferably in conjunction with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Skype or Zoom. Also, I am still remote mixing so if you have had the time to record but do not feel like doing your own mixing please let me know.

A couple of times in the last few weeks I’ve been called to fix Cubase 10 installations, when random Groove Agent kits have failed to install properly. 1 person had installed cubase 4 times with the same result. It’s very peculiar but at least having solved the first one it made the second instance easier to fix.

Sad day Saturday to hear of the passing of someone who was initially a client but became a friend. Paul Raymond was an amazing musician and it was great to see him play for one last time only 8 days earlier at the Forum in Kentish Town with UFO. I had a lot of fun mixing and mastering his last 2 solo albums, he was always a pleasure to work with.

Had a great evening last Wednesday. Doing the sound for the Trailers down in Brighton. Using a Behringer Air mixer. It's a new experience to not be tied to a desk but to have the ability to move around the room with an iPad to carry out all your mixing tasks. Also to be in a nice big room as well. Great gig as well.

After having a pretty awful few days feeling groggy with a winter cold it's good to have had some nice things happen at the back end of this week.
Salt City has been released on Amazon for streaming and download (or a DVD if you are in the US) and Paul Raymond has released his long awaited album "High Definition".
I worked on both of these projects and its nice that they have been launched to the public within a day or two of each other. Really feel lucky to have mixed and mastered them both.

Another interesting session on Friday. Recording a classical recital at the 1901 Arts Centre next to Waterloo. This was featuring grand piano, cello, clarinet and a mezzo soprano. It’s a nice little venue and a really good performance that was really well attended. I used my 12 Gauge and AKG mics through my Focusrite. A good way to spend a few hours for an excellent client.
