Hello everyone,
The new term starts in just a couple of weeks so I wanted to answer, publicy, a couple of recent enquiries I have received.

Q: When can I join Sing and Sign?

A: We have 3 age appropriate courses perfect for babies from birth through to the age of 2.

~ Babes has been specially developed for our very youngest customers from birth to 5 months (max age 7 months at the end of the term). This course is only suitable for non-mobile babies but sitting up and rolling over is fine.

~ Stage 1 is suitable for babies from 6 to 14 months. This is our core curriculum and helps you to signpost your baby's day for mealtimes, going out, nappy changing, bath time, bed time etc. During this course you will learn 100+ signs.

~ Stage 2 is suitable for toddlers from 14 to 24 months (or the term that they turn 2).
During this course we build on the 'basic' signs you learned in Stage 1 and focus on more conversational topics i.e. things your baby is interested in and wants to talk about and point at. You will learn another 100+ signs to add to your already large vocabulary!

The other enquiry I have received is...

Q: Where are your classes and which days are they on?

A: For the Autumn term, I have planned to teach 5 days but I can only do this if we get enough bums on mats to cover costs! The timetable is as follows:

~ Monday Bolnore Village
~ Tuesday Lewes
~ Wednesday Burgess Hill
~ Thursday Uckfield
~ Friday Haywards Heath

I have attached a link to my booking system so you can look at the timetable and share it with your friends.
FYI - we only ever have a maximum of 12 people in a class, 10 in smaller venues.

Hello everyone!

I hope you've had a lovely summer β˜€οΈ

Jessie Cat & I are looking forward to seeing you at The Nurture Bubble in Lindfield tomorrow morning, Tues 1st Sept.
We'll be singing some old favourites that you'll all know and can join in with. You'll learn some signs you can do with your baby when reading or out and about.

My classes start back in earnest w/c 21st Sept, so please spread the word with all your friends!
We only ever have a maximum of 12 people in class (10 in our smaller venues) so booking on quickly is essential to ensure you bag a space.

* Friday 21st Aug in Haywards Heath

Everyone with under 2's is welcome to attend (along with older, 'sensible' siblings too).

Visiting relatives are also welcome to come along, in fact, the more the merrier!

Cost is per family, not per child (but I do ask you to make an additional Β£1 donation if you are bringing siblings. Thanks in advance).

So, if you've watched my last video, you'll know it is Pride weekend in Brighton and there are rainbows EVERYWHERE!

But... none of them are in the order of our Rainbow Song! 🌈

So, I thought, I know what I'll do, I'll sing our song to remind you all of the order we sing them in 🎢

I know from my school years that the prism order is as follows:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

And, you know the way I was taught to remember that, by our fabulous history teacher, Mr White:
Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain

Who else remembers learning them like this too?

If you have a toddler, we teach this song early on in our Stage 2 (14-27 months) curriculum.

Fun fact... this song is no:1 in videos I receive from parents of their child singing and signing along πŸ₯° It is absolutely delightful to see.

Happy Friyay everyone! I'm coming to you live from a very sunny Brighton Beach, looking like the Athena poster 'Easy Rider' in my bandana! You're all too young to remember that aren't you? I loved it and, for my 21st birthday, my best friend bought me a framed A1 pic of him. Phoar 🀣

Anyway, I digress 😁 I am thrilled to say that 3 Stay & Play sessions are going ahead next week:

* Mon 3rd in Bolnore Village
* Thurs 6th in Uckfield
* Fri 7th in Haywards Heath

The cost is Β£13 per family (plus a Β£1 donation for siblings). I don't take a wages from these sessions, all profits from my holiday events are donated to CRUK πŸŽ€

The running schedule is as follows:
* 10.00am for free refreshments & playtime
* 10.40am mini tidy up
* 10.45am Sing and Sign session
* 11.30am home time

Bolnore Village has air con πŸ₯Ά so it's a great one to come to, especially as it is supposed to be the hottest day next week πŸ₯΅ phew!

If you have never been to Sing and Sign before and are keen to have a taster session before committing to the new term in September, this is a great opportunity to see what we do, whilst raising funds for a fabulous cause.

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a lovely summer & enjoying the sunshine 🌞

Just when you thought all baby classes are closed for the summer, I'm thrilled to say I am running some Stay & Play sessions next week & also w/c 17th Aug! 😊

If you have never been to our classes before, it's great opportunity come along and try us out before the September term starts!

If you have been to Stay & Play before, you'll know the format:
* We start at 10am (in most venues, Lewes is a bit earlier) with playtime and refreshments - served (lovingly!) by my husband, AndrΓ©
* Then at 10.40am we do a bit of tidying ready for...
* Our Sing and Sign session at 10.45am
* 11.30am we say goodbye, see you for the next one and/or in September!

If your baby has a nap in the morning and you can't make it for playtime, don't worry, just turn up when you can. It is all very relaxed 😎

I really love doing these events because I get to meet other family members that would otherwise not be able to come during the term e.g. dads, grandparents, aunties, uncles, even brand new siblings πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸΎ

On that note...
Older, 'sensible' siblings are welcome too but please have a chat with them beforehand about not running around; there will be lots of non-mobile babies, aswell as very early crawlers and walkers. Thank you in advance.
We will also have a no shoes policy for everyone, to protect little fingers from being squashed.

Everyone with under 2's is welcome to come along so please spread the word with all your friends on your social media channels and WhatsApp groups. Thank you again in advance.
It's so important to get a good turnout for these events as room hire is expensive and, at the end of the year, I donate all profits from Stay & Play to Cancer Research UK so you are supporting a fantastic cause πŸŽ€

If you are looking for a daytime show 𝗔𝗑𝗗 one you can take your baby to (that only lasts for an hour), then this is 𝐓𝐇𝐄 π’π‡πŽπ– for you!

Zoe, is one of my past Sing and Sign customers and I am so proud to see her doing really well as a fantastic stand up comedian. Her jokes are funny, a bit cheeky and aimed, primarily, at parents who are all on this rollercoster journey together.

There are just a couple of shows left, with not many tickets, so hurry if you want to catch her at The Brighton Fringe.

Shows are at a very respectable 2pm and tickets cost just Β£5 each with all proceeds being donated to Papworth Hospital.

I promise, you will not be disappointed, so book to see her today. And, if you're a Sing and Signer, you'll even get a special shoutout!

Me & Felicity are excited, are you?

It might be a Bank Holiday Monday but we don't let that stop us! We know you need your 'fix' of Sing and Sign so me & Jessie Cat are looking forward to seeing you in class tomorrow morning!

Bank Holidays are also a great opportunity for visitors to come to class who, on a normal Monday, might be at work. Or, perhaps, you have your baby's grandparents visiting you for the long weekend? They are very welcome to come along too (especially as we are finding that more and more grandparents have childcare responsibilities a lot earlier, as parents are returning to work sooner. It's a great opportunity for them to see a class in action, before they join us for the term).

There are also a few trial spaces available for people who have never attended Sing and Sign before and would like to try us out, before committing to the term. You can book under 'Special Events' via the Linktree in my bio.
