✨ What a fantastic couple of weeks! ✨

We have had the pleasure of welcoming three incredibly talented women, each from very different professional backgrounds, as they embark on an exciting new career in micropigmentation.

Katy joined Stevie Cosmetic make up to develop her skills in Hair Stroke & Powder Brows.

Aisling, a GP from Belfast, trained in 3D Ni**le & Ar**la Micropigmentation, adding this specialist treatment to her skill set.

Eva, a long-standing FTG customer, returned to enhance her existing skills in Scar Management & Skin Colour Camouflage.

We wish Katy, Aisling and Eva every success in their new ventures and can’t wait to see where their skills take them! ❤️

Here’s to new beginnings, new skills and making a real difference to people’s lives through micropigmentation.

Karen of Karen Peake 🌿 | Aesthetic Practitioner ✨ | Romsey 🤍 was a student of ours 13 years ago. Very successful.

Scrolling and saw this post.

Karen is an example of success.
I met Karen 13 years ago when she came to train and I saw talent and determination.

Karen learnt facial and scalp Micropigmentation plus Meso Microneedling - and took treatments to the next level.

But what I love about Karen is she is still studying and learning. Go lady !

You are a great example of success.

We found some old lovely pictures of Karen 10

For many children, the hardest part of surgery isn’t the procedure itself, but the fear that precedes it. With this in mind, Brazilian doctor Leandro Guimarães found a creative and moving way to transform anxiety into courage.

Before entering the operating room, your little patients choose superhero costumes and head to surgery as if they were embarking on a great mission. Dressed as Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, and other characters, they walk through the hospital corridors in a much lighter and more fun atmosphere.

Otolaryngologist Leandro believes that emotional support is just as important as medical treatment. This initiative helps reduce stress in children, reassures families, and transforms what is normally a frightening moment into a more positive experience.

The idea gained traction on social media and caught the attention of people worldwide. In 2025, the doctor received the WEmbrace Awards in the “Inspiring Stories” category, an international award that recognizes professionals and projects that promote inclusion, innovation, and social impact in the healthcare field.

Kate Winslet (born October 5, 1975) is an Academy Award-winning actress known for her roles in Titanic, The Reader, and numerous films that highlight emotional depth and realism. She has also become a strong voice against unrealistic beauty standards in the industry.

Throughout her career, she has consistently challenged the pressure placed on women to appear perfect, choosing authenticity over image — both on and off screen.

In Lessons of Worth It with L’Oréal, she removes her makeup on camera, speaking honestly about appearance and identity. She explains that what people see publicly is not the full picture — and that perfection is often constructed, not real.

What defines her approach is her refusal to perform perfection. She brings attention back to reality — to the fact that what we compare ourselves to is often curated and incomplete.

Her message reframes beauty entirely: worth is not something you prove through appearance. It’s something that exists before it.

A statue that tells a story 💗

Meet Cecilie Flatval.

A wife, mother of three, and an extraordinary woman who was diagnosed with incurable (metastatic) breast cancer at just 42 years old. Rather than hiding from her diagnosis, Cecilie chose to use her experience to make sure others living with secondary breast cancer would no longer feel invisible.

Her wish was simple but profound: to encourage us to talk more openly about life, death and everything in between. She wanted her children, loved ones and complete strangers to see that there is dignity, courage and humanity in living with incurable cancer 🎀

Today, in the heart of Oslo, stands what is believed to be the world’s first public statue of a woman living with incurable breast cancer. Created by renowned sculptor Håkon Anton Fagerås, the bronze sculpture doesn’t hide Cecilie’s mastectomy scar. Instead, it honours her exactly as she was - strong, calm, resilient and beautifully human.

Sadly, Cecilie passed away in April 2023, but not before seeing her statue unveiled. Her legacy now lives on, inspiring thousands of people every day and reminding us that those living with secondary breast cancer deserve to be seen, heard and remembered.

At the Pink Ribbon Foundation, we stand with everyone affected by breast cancer at every stage of their journey.

Because visibility matters.

Every story matters.

Every life matters.

A powerful piece of public art in Norway.
